PTZ5A4M 25X PTZ Delay when commanding.

Same, I will just have to take my mind off of it and use more due diligence next cam purchase. Just didn't expect to buy a PTZ that is about 6 years newer and get worse performance, movement wise. The IQ is good.

PTZ5A4M 25X PTZ Delay when commanding.

So first, I went ahead and bought a POE++ to see if Hans*2 was correct stating that it needs more POE power to run. NOPE! still laggy. In reply to you, I tried moving each PTZ thru the DMSS app. Even across the mobile network, the 49225 reacted within approx .75 seconds. (one one thousand ...

PTZ5A4M 25X PTZ Delay when commanding.

You may be on to something. My switch is a POE+ which provides up to 30 Watts per device. This camera does show 24 volts at 2.5 amps. This makes the max power draw 60 watts. The cameras specs show POE+ as recommended but that must be wrong. Maybe it requires POE++. I'm going to grab a POE++ and...

PTZ5A4M 25X PTZ Delay when commanding.

First time I've been disappointed in an Empire Tech camera. Smart PSS, for me is about 2.2 seconds. Blue Iris almost 4 seconds. Camera GUI about 2.8. Its like a game. Hold the mouse button for how long you think and WHIP, the thing flies way off of your target. Worst response ever of all cameras...

PTZ5A4M 25X PTZ Delay when commanding.

Thanks, your reply does help. I was hoping it wasn't the camera, but its great so far otherwise. Kind of strange since it is a much newer model than the 49225. Not what I expected.

PTZ5A4M 25X PTZ Delay when commanding.

I have this PTZ5 and 2 other PTZs. The other 2 are 49225s. Pressing any direction to move the PTZ5 takes a couple seconds but the older 49225s move almost instantly. What is weird is the 49225s are connected thru a couple different POE switches but the PTZ5 has a more direct connection and its...

Older 5231R-Z Time issue. Can't get it right.

Okay so the firmware update resolved the issue with the time. Of course after the firmware update and the reboot the box was unchecked for easy4iP which I'm pretty sure is the P2P function. Either way the new firmware resolved that stupid 1 hour difference.

Older 5231R-Z Time issue. Can't get it right.

I did exactly that, then a minute later, it goes back. The camera is in Eastern, -5hrs GMT. Set it to -4hrs and it changes back. Weird since the other 5231 doesn't have the issue. Flashed it with the FW of the other cameras FW and it loaded successfully and then I lost connection. (Did this...

Older 5231R-Z Time issue. Can't get it right.

Forgot to add. 2 of the same cams on same network but one firmware is 8 months newer. One keeps time, the older fw is off. Grabbing it now and see if it resolves.

Older 5231R-Z Time issue. Can't get it right.

I know these cameras are old but I cannot get the time to display properly. DST is enabled just as in my other dahua cameras and whether I use the ntp server or not it is continuously off by 1 hour. I tried turning off ntp and controlling the time manually and lied to it by 1 hour in the GMT box...

    PTZ5A4M-25X Tracking issues - Dahua SD5A425GA-HNR

All set up. So far I love it. Seems to ignore trash cans but still kind of considers mailbox posts as ppl. One thing that is puzzling me is how to fix the object closer to the center when tracking. It is kind of slow and initially tracks the rear of a car. Tried reducing target size to 28 but it...

    PTZ5A4M-25X Tracking issues - Dahua SD5A425GA-HNR

Haven't set it up yet bc its crappy here today but happy that at least, its a different FW than your original one that was an issue.

    PTZ5A4M-25X Tracking issues - Dahua SD5A425GA-HNR

I just ordered one of these today from Empire on Amazon. Firstly, thank you and Andy for trying to work out the quirks. It definitely takes a boat load of time. I am upgrading from an SD49225XA which has been good, but the card slot never worked and was improperly soldered to the board. (Too...
