    Sorry the camera is recording straight to the SD card. The camera is not new but the SD card is a Samsung endurance Pro which I use in all the other cameras without issue. But it certainly wouldn't hurt to try swapping cards. There is another 5231 mounted with the same card that is not doing this.

    Update: Contacted support and the answer was to make sure the DB is on the local drive. It was so I just eliminated one of the 2 externals and used the local drive for new files. Basically this problem is unfounded. Don't use external drives is my hypothesis.

    Thank you. I see this has a close focus min of 5.2 feet. That may work well. Probably going to do some more searching because the 1 / 1.2 sensor is incredible on the 5849 so far. What a huge difference from the 5231.
