I need your technical assistance regarding a Hikvision IP Camera with a firmware/language issue. Below are the complete details:

Current Firmware: V5.6.6 build 220307

Problem​

The camera is currently operating with a Chinese firmware/interface, and I need to change it to English/International firmware.

The camera itself is working and I can access its web interface normally. I have also installed the required Hikvision web component.

I tried upgrading the camera using different digicap.dav firmware files, but the firmware upgrade does not complete successfully. The upgrade either fails or remains stuck, so I do not want to continue testing random firmware because there is a risk of bricking the camera.

Assistance Required​

Could you please help me determine:

  1. The exact compatible English/International firmware for this specific camera and hardware revision.
  2. Whether this Chinese-region camera can safely be converted to an English/International region.
  3. Whether firmware from another DS-2CD26E6CMDV3-IZS with the same hardware revision can be used.
  4. If normal web/SADP/TFTP firmware upgrade is not possible, whether the camera can be recovered/programmed directly through its SPI NOR, NAND, or eMMC flash memory using a hardware programmer.
  5. If direct programming is possible, which programmer and procedure should be used.
  6. Whether a full flash dump from an identical working camera can be written to this camera.
  7. Which partitions contain the bootloader, firmware, region/language information, serial number, MAC address, and calibration data, so that device-specific information is not accidentally overwritten.
  8. If you have the correct digicap.dav, recovery firmware, full flash dump, or service/recovery procedure for this exact model, please share it with me.
My main objective is simply to make this camera operate normally with an English interface without damaging or permanently bricking it.

I can provide PCB photos, memory-chip markings, current firmware files, configuration information, screenshots, or a flash dump if required.
