The TRUTH is simple

NATO is a security alliance. IT SHOULD ALWAYS BE preparing to fight the Russia Bear, because when the Bear is Hungry, it is going to come eat your entire village .. better have it go get some Chinese takeout as far as many Europeans are concerned.

EU and Ukraine Did NOT want this war with Russia

EU was accepting letting Russia keep the 2014 occupation territories

Russia is now attempting to double down on their losing hand, and attempting to force a larger conflict.



If you follow the traditional narratives from Russia .. they always set the scene ..

recall the Soviet invasion of Finland in 1939 was due to Finland attacking Russia .. ( false flag )

IF this were true, Russia would not have invaded Ukraine ( part of Europe, and Putin was told in no uncertain manner that there would be support for Ukraine if he did invade ), and Putin would not be lamenting on the loss of Greater Russian Empire and that the Russian Empire / USSR needs to be restored.

How do you ignore the US intervention in Ukraine in 2014? The clearly stated goals? The Ukrain bombing of the Donbas

It seems more people in EU are realizing the tired old “RUSSIA is going to invade us” fantasy is just that. Their words not mine.

Regardless of rewriting history, the EU is the one provoking war right now. Not Russia

Look, the rules were super simple with Ukraine .. go back to the ROOT

Ukraine gave up their Nukes to Russia for the promises by Russia, USA, UK to respect Ukraine's borders.

SIMPLE.

Nothing in those rules on "influence" operations .. USA and USSR / Russia have been playing influence games for a long time.

Putin lost the recent round of influence due in a large part by Ukrainians NOT liking Team Putin. That's on Putin not having a good Team Putin.
Ukrainian would have happy to be with their Russian Cousins if their Russian Cousins were not raping and murdering their wives and daughters.

SO Putin decides, invasion is a good idea .. and failed.

Just like Trump decided attacking Iran was a good idea .. and well, I think we all know what you think of Trump for that.

Sabotage of European factories, other undersea cables, .. iirc there was even some assassinations done by Russia in Europe.

Honestly, I never thought Sweden AND Finland would have joined NATO.

This is why EU is still supporting Ukrainian Defense.

There are GOOD reasons why Europe and USA did not want Putin / Russia starting a War with Ukraine. Putin was warned not to. Should have been happy with his gains from 2014.

Are there EU leaders who see Russian impotence and perceived weakness in Ukraine and think-- "it's time to strike and end the Red menace"

There seems to be a lot of dangerous thinking going on...
 
EU/NATO/US started this current war (Ukraine/Russia/Proxy war) in 2014

Russia has been the boogeyman for the West for a very long time.

No amount of revisionist history will change my mind on this

We really should leave this to the already 170 page thread on Ukraine/Russia and focus on current WW3 events in this one IMHO

Remember prior to 2014 every MSM was talking about Nazi problem in Ukraine. Below video they are talking about Bandera Nazi in Ukraine. These Banderas are some of commanders that attacked or led the attack on Donetsk in 2014 and the burning alive of Russian speaking Ukraine citizens in Odessa prior to that. If you see Ukraine soldiers in Nazi tattoos and insignias it's them.

Also the Ukrainian negotiator who Zelensky sent to Turkey to meet Russian negotiators in 2022 to end the then 2 month old war (time period when Russian tanks where still seen obeying the traffic lights in Ukraine) the peace terms where agreed. No nato for Ukraine, Russian speaking citizen rights and return to Minsk accords but UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson went to Kiev to torpedo the peace talks. When the negotiating team returned to Ukraine, the lead negotiator was shot dead point blank in front of tv cameras by a Ukraine Nazi commander before he could say anything about the negotiations in front of the tv.
