I own one of these. But be warned, it is pretty loud when PTZ functions are working. There is an alternative model, that is much quieter, and uses undetectable (to the human eye) IR.

And, your are right, no real activity from Dahua on cameras in this category. I really can't see a reason why Dahua hasn't made available this size/type of PTZ with a 1/1.8 sensor. That would be a killer camera.

Mine is outside, it can make all the noise it wants. Anybody close enough to hear it is getting their picture taken and I doubt they'll complain. Seriously, I've never heard a thing coming from mine.
Sorry, I don't have any audio of how loud it is. I'm sure YouTube has at least 1 video, that will give you an example.
It isn't. But like everything, it is relative.
Do a search in this thread on "noise" and you will see what others have said about it.
It sounds a bit like R2D2 and in the middle of the night with no other sound, someone may slightly hear it.
But middle of the day I don't hear it.
