NVR5208-8P-4KS2E firmware update problems with Zoom using IPC-HDW2231R-ZS cameras (EmpireTech Andy's hardware)

Ni idea what you're saying b ut I guarantee there are 3 ways to zoom the camera (optical not digital zoom)

Using SmartPSS
Using the camera Web GUI,
And using the NVR web GUI I show above.

4 ways if you want to count using the DMSS app

All of which I just did
I was able to do all of these zoom until the NVR upgrade. Now unable to do partial zooms using IE Web GUI, all other methods I can still use partial zooms.

I seldom zoom, only if necessity dictates the need for closer inspection.

And I have to disagree. I believe the NVR software controls the interface between the user and the camera's operation. Using the Web access doesn't give you direct access to the camera but is a bridge between the user and camera.

You do realize people can access the camera GUI without an NVR.

Web GUI on the NVR or Web GUI on the camera?

There is no difference in what it does, just a different way of accessing it

I can do partial zooms when I access the "camera's" Web Gui at the NVR console, and through the Web GUI.
But unable to partial zoom using the Web GUI.

I dont have a 2231 sorry, I have a couple of old 5231's the big brother and just plugged one and am able to zoom fine all methods.

Okay, I found that V4.02.0000000.8.R has a software issue with partial zooming in and out while viewing the cameras using the Web GUI. I found out that I can open another Web GUI going into Settings >Camera>Image> Click on "Auto Focus" and a window pops up allowing me to partial zoom in and out. Dahua must have forgotten to include this in the Web GUI "Live" viewing of cameras.

So now I open two Web Gui, one with "Live" view and the other with Settings open to partial zoom and out.
