EmpireTech NVR / 5442 S3 Cams - Webplugin Not Functioning in Edge Browser

Something to remember, when you close the program, there is a setting that tells it to open in the exact same window and feature as was being shown when you closed it

Little gear icon top right
choose system config

Then check this box

Notice each NVR I'm monitoring has multiple cameras associated with it.

It can take a minute with multiple NVRs for it to login to each one as you see in the vid below

Double clicking a pane/camera makes it go full screen in full resolution.
Double clicking again makes it fit the window again and go back to sub stream

Yes, that's my correct address. Yes I have multiple cameras hooked to it and it doesn't do anything if I click on that IP address. Here it is in Edge. Notice no extended controls.

OK Your back to the NVR, I thought we were talking about SmartPSS
In SmartPSS, go to Device or Device Details and delete your NVR entry.

Then do it manually
At top of that screen click Add+
A popup will appear and you enter your device information in it

No you wont see extra controls in plain Edge.
Edge in IE Mode OR plain IE will

I don't have the NVR, but do have a 5442-S3 ... and a T54PRO-ZE.
Both of those seem to working fine WITHOUT the plugin using both Edge and Chrome - this is on Windoze 11 and a recent build ... so never installed the plug-in.
I.e. I can view the live image, adjust zoom/focus/etc., see and modify the the various menu's, etc.

The ONLY issue that I've seen is when downloading recording videos. It doesn't always work if I try to do more than one at a time ... and the download speed is painfully slow ... appears to be "capped" at 10MBit/sec ... which implies some sort of software limitation.

I assure you the camera is connected at 100Mbit/sec ... and for instance, when I take a Snapshot via the Web Browser, it downloads that ~10 MByte PNG in about a second ... rather than 10. So it's not the wire speed.

While I can wait several minutes for 200-300 MByte .dav to download, it's a bit annoying. Any chance @EMPIRETECANDY you can file a bug report and see if Dahua can fix this?

Yes I can see the controls in both Edge in IE mode or plain IE but no video. This is in Plain IE. When I click on the arrow to show video it just blinks. Nothing else.

NVR is much faster. I assume that’s downloading from the SD card?

That’s playback mode.
So hitting the start/play arrow does nothing?

What happens if you click on the green (recorded) timeline ?

Weird. What model # is the NVR?

Mac or PC?
