Yes I used previous gen Lots of supported locally devices… also over zigbee and zwave IF you hate home assistant and want to use easy to configure local platform which integrates many different devices and protocols, homey is best what you can get on the market- steve1225

yes, they use the same SOC and firmware as 54PRO... But image sensor for 99% is different... Both HIK & Dahua have AI-ISP only for Smart Sense sensors. I don't know why - maybe some AI-ISP processing is simply done on image sensor and not on SOC... 5x59-PRO have 4/6/8 Mpx models on 1/1.8"... -

I strongly suspect (based on differences in specifications) that the 5x59-IL models are based on OmniVision sensors (the same as in the 5442-S3, or newer generations) and not Smart Sense sense (like TIOC-PRO / 5x59-PRO and HIK ColorVu cams). they have from beginning disabled WizColor / AI-ISP... -

Problem with AI on CCTV cameras is that CCTV cams are using cheap a few dollars SOCs (chips), which are very limited.. There is big difference on AI capabilities / performance / size...- steve1225

Dahua keeps dropping Frames Per SEcond (FPS) to around 5 - 6 even though it's programmed to do 25.
without some night video footage showing the problem with 6fps and some visible vehicle/human movement on it (to see what exposure time was used by camera and what light/IR situation was on scene) - it's hard to help you... you can try update firmware to latest one, try to downgrade encoder to... -

show Your camera image/video settings.. especially exposure settings... if the exposure is too long (like 1/6s) at night then you will get only 6 frames per second... Also what are IR settings.. if there is too low IR, then exposure will be slow.. it's dark PTZ camera with small sensor... -

Problem with Dahua is that, they don't see Ubiquity as a competition.. They see HIK Vision as competition - so everything HIK is doing Dahua is copying and vice versa.. I was hoping that new Dahua 7 series will use new 1/1.2" sensor from OmniVision (or Sony Starvis 2) to differentiate from 5 series.. I wrote about this 2-3 times on this forum.. But this never materialized... answer is of course money - bigger sensors costs more, require bigger/better/pricey...- steve1225

just must remember that those sensors and all quad bayer sensors for mobiles - are sensors which ARE NOT NIR enhanced.. so they are very bad for IR. you can do full color cam on it, but nor IR cam.. like situation with Sony Starvis 1/1.2" sensor used in Color4K (Dahua 5849). CCTV cameras are a very low-cost product. This is partly due to the OEM <> distributors <> installers <> end-user model. Yes 2.8mm In case of cctv cams this is only marketing virtual specification, which means wide zoom (105-110 degree horizontal). Used for comparison between models. In reality focus length is different. And very depended of sensor size.- steve1225

yes.. it's PTRZ functionality... HIK have the same limit... in normal PTZ cams you have separate strong motors for each axis - X, Y, Z (zoom) and F (focus).. they are designed to work 24/7 for years.. in PTRZ cams you have shared small motors - like in varifocal cams where Z (zoom) and F... -

stay with 5442-S3.. at night it will switch to IR and will work.. 5459 is a hybrid camera - can work both in color mode (with white light) and IR mode. But it has worse image quality at night in comparison to 5442-S3.. there is a long thread... -
