The problem with .net is it relies on the internet. Fine if your conenction is stable but if you suffer contention issues (slowing when it's busy times of day) or frequents drop outs or latency, relying on a connection based varient is very risky. Have you tried YOLO 11 with just an APU Mike? -

HDR reduces the dynamic range in the final picture on CCTV. It uses the ability to see a wider range of contrast to recover more detail and lighten dark areas to improve the picture. It's not the same as watching a HDR TV where HDR increases the amount of visible dynamic range to deepen dark areas. -

That looks truly aweful. Not only are the skull brothers out of focus but so is the scarecrow 1/2 way down the lawn and other items in dark areas. It looks as if the iris might be wide open causing a very shallow dof and the camera is strugling with the contrast. I see contrast issues with the... -

Be aware of the drawbacks of bedroom cams. Highly recommend you don't enable remote access and certainly don't port forward if you do, but go locally hosted vpn on your router. So confused on firmware for IPC-COLOR4K-X ?
Yeah the X version certainly achieves a much better picture. I wish I'd gone X's now. The issue is the bullet formats drawbacks - larger, more visible, easy to turn around, wiring exposed. -

The lighting is handled beter on the new firmware esepcially at noon. However, I don't think the jaggies are a bad thing. I much prefer the fir trees on the right and the stones / plants in front of the house on the earlier firmware 0827. They're supposed to be jagged. That's the needle detail... -

If you're already got a ptz watching the driveway, then I'd be inclined to do what Hobs suggested and mount it on a post looking back towards the house. Without ambient light the 4Kt's and 180 derivatives will see nothing. The night colour cameras do need a minimum level of illumination to work. You'd think so but no, you won't be able to enlarge the picture very much before it loses definition. You've got the best chance on one of the variable aperture cameras as these can narrow the aperture when it's bright as an alternative to increasing the shutter speed (a balance is needed here)... -

Very true but this is where a more sensitive sensor & slightly narrower aperture would help. The new 54Pros address this in a round about way for daytime by using variable iris. So you may still get Shallow focus at night, but in the day when it's bright & the aperture can be narrowed, the DOF... -

What I also like is despite the high level of detail in the bushes which take up a considerable part of the picture, there's no evidence of compression at play. It all looks like genuine leaves. That's a considerable improvement over the 4kt in that situation. -

I agree but I'd also consider lowering it's position. It looks a bit high (around 8-9 feet?) and mounting it lower will reduce the ceiling reflection as well as giving a better facial shot. -

No not internal LEDS. A separate LED floodlight with a separate PIR sensor. (I like to keep sensor and light separate so I can change just one when something fails). I'm not keen on internal LEDS as they're not as bright as a separate light and once they go dim over time, it's new camera time... -

Just put up a decorative lamp with a 400 lumen bulb on a dusk to dawn sensor like I did. It only needs an LED of around 5-6w so wan't cost much to run. That way you never have total darkness. It also means if for any reason the iVS trips don't get tripped, the background recording will record... -

100%. I'm running a 4kt with a 1/1.2" sensor. Even then I need to add a 400 lumen supplemental dawn to dusk light to allow me to run 4ms at night. As it happens, when triggered I'm probably going to always get an excellent picture at 4ms because I also have a 1500 lumen motion triggered... -

With trip wires (IVS) you should get virtually no false alrms. I've had about 2 in 3 years, both caused by sun shadows. Note there's an art to drawing trip wires, you need to note the direction of trigger, the anchor points as sometimes they look anchored but there's room for objects to pass...
