    Thanks! That looks like it! I have it set to "replace email body with error" but it doesnt...just says error....so its a wasted email.... Appreciate the help!

    A few years back I set up "alerts" for my cameras -- both for triggered alerts and error alerts. Thing is, the error alerts give me ZERO info as to what the error is, so I would either like to fix that (so they tell me what the error actually is, so its useful) or delete the error alerts so I do...

    I picked up an ANPVIX PTZ 8mp 4k camera off amazon.....so far pretty nice, and connected right into BI....so I am not an idiot....LOL (although I found I cannot use the full resolution of the camera yet --- I think thats my PC that is the bottleneck.... Still gonna keep trying with the AXIS...

    One thing I noticed when I just tried this again, it changed the aspect ration of the camera from 4:3 to 16:9 but still no signal. And,m not sure if I asked this before but ---- is it odd that the "axis no signal" appears "twice"?

    No change.....what causes the 401 message is when the port is anything but 80....no message if I change it to that......

    I have been trying this for a couple hours now......still no joy, though now in the BI window for the camera it says , along with NO SIGNAL, it also says "HTTP 401 unauthorized"

    If I try and add a new camera and do not enter the IP address of this axis camera, and just try to "find/inspect", BI does not see anything on my network......is that odd? If I use the cameras IP address it finds it and configures for it as generic ONVIF but doesnt show the feed in BI....... WTH

    Yes, the logon name is root for both and the same password is used.

    Tried changing the IP address to a lower last number, which worked for a previous camera I had tested....still no good.

    Yeah...about a dozen times....... its gotta be something stupid, but I just cant find it. The camera is "found" in BI when I provide the IP ..... and the stream seems to be streaming given the data changes on the one screen -- given a low data rate --.....but the BI interface shows "no signal".

    Does the "HTTP UNAUTHORIZED " message mean anything in this situation? When I go into teh camera software and turn off the "bonjour" and "upnp" options the "unauthorized" goes away but still have the "no signal" message
