Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

Hey guys

We have big progress on the firmware of the IPC-T54PRO-AS IPC-T54PRO-ZE. New fw's working is bit positive. @bigredfish @duplo @jmcu these 3 guys cost too much time for the testing, we appreciate!
Sure other guys who talk a lot here too to help on it, thanks a lot to them too!

The firmware Need more testing then we will invite more guys to test. I think @bigredfish will get us some of his testings soon. This version is the 1st version, the official one i think still have to wait to Jan.

Thanks!

Andy

I'd be interested in testing this ... but are you recommending "your" firmware @EMPIRETECANDY ... or the R4 release on the Dahua website?

Ditto what @steve1225 said "Lets hope something changed around AI 2D & 3D noise reduction" ... as I believe that (especially the inter-frame 3D stuff) is what may have been causing the streaking/ghosting.

It would be appreciated if someone with experience could confirm that moving between Dahua and Andy's firmware is a seamless process without issues. And of course vice versa. I would like to try the most recent Dahua release with the ability to move back to Andy's version(s).

Dahua's New Slogan:

Working Hard To Make Our 2025 Models As Good As The 2021 Ones!

****Something you may not know and is demonstrated here, there is a difference in image settings between having IVS OFF and ON

Make sure you are making your settings with IVS enabled and know that if you disable IVS, your exposure and other settings will be changed by the camera without your input

This thread explains it and humbled me as I wasn't aware and learned something new. Thanks to @Zoltán Szabó @laurscr and @wittaj for bringing this to my attention.
I'm betting there are others who don't know this.
I don't find it useful, frankly I think its dumb and can easily lead to unnecessary images issues
It does this in both B&W/IR and Color modes. Even more dramatic in B&W

Check out this video. The first 15 seconds are with my settings and IVS enabled. Then I turn IVS OFF. Can you see what it does to the image?
You will want this to be full screen to really see the noise introduced.

Missed that.
It should be as they use the same base. I haven’t actually tried it on these two specific versions but in the past it’s never been a problem

Yes, dahua website one i don't think it has the AI-SIP on, the one i got was sent by dahua guy yesterday. The AI-SIP version is the very early one, will have more versions later.

As I wrote earlier "I'd be interested in testing this ... but are you recommending "your" firmware @EMPIRETECANDY ... or the R4 release on the Dahua website?" ... so if you can clarify what you are recommending for the T54PRO-ZE ... and if the former, please send me a copy of your firmware so I can test it.

To echo what @wittaj said, FYI that specifically to the 54PRO-ZE, I have gone back-n-forth between @EMPIRETECANDY and Dauhu firmware and all seems to work fine.

I have not tried the very latest releases ... yet.

Deep breath, I'm going to try the 4.R Dahua release on one of mine then.

I tried to install the 4.R from Dahua and it failed, restarted camera, I normally install the firmware.bin first then the DH_IPC bin second, any tips for this...?
