Firmware bin last.Deep breath, I'm going to try the 4.R Dahua release on one of mine then.
I tried to install the 4.R from Dahua and it failed, restarted camera, I normally install the firmware.bin first then the DH_IPC bin second, any tips for this...?
I don't know if the order makes any difference, but I happen to load the DH_IPC... file first and then firmware.bin
I know some people recommend resetting to factory default (three times) ... but I did it in-place and worked every time and my various settings were saved.
Yes, need a defaul(Not factory default) is fine(aha no need 3 times), after the fw finish the updating, esp this New AI-SIP fw. I also send you a copy to check, watch your DM, thanks!I don't know if the order makes any difference, but I happen to load the DH_IPC... file first and then firmware.bin

Thanks for info/DM @EMPIRETECANDY ... I'm traveling, so will probably wait a few days before updating.
Can you please provide more info about the difference between the Dahua "4" release (Release notes says 11/11/20225 and the sizes are 120/730MBytes) versus your 11/27 release (123/746MBytes).
What firmware did you install on the S3 Bullet?Typically, you will find that the firmware we get from Andy is actually better and more recent than what is on the Dahua website because many members here provide feedback to Andy and then Dahua makes modifications to the firmware and sends back to him and then he sends out to his customers.
Similar to what we are seeing in this thread, these have been great improvements that sometimes Dahua doesn't even update their firmware with and add to their website, or if they do, it is often weeks/months after we had the firmware, so going by latest date may not actually be the true latest and best firmware.
So many of us are running a newer firmware than those that purchase Dahua cameras through professional installers. Smart IR on the 5442 series is one such improvement. Autotracking on the 49225 and 49425 PTZ is another. We got the next version of AI SMD 3.0 prior to anyone else as well. And then of course this camera.

What I'm noticing now is that two of my pros are starting to stutter with the new firmware.
****Something you may not know and is demonstrated here, there is a difference in image settings between having IVS OFF and ON
Make sure you are making your settings with IVS enabled and know that if you disable IVS, your exposure and other settings will be changed by the camera without your input
This thread explains it and humbled me as I wasn't aware and learned something new. Thanks to @Zoltán Szabó @laurscr and @wittaj for bringing this to my attention.
I'm betting there are others who don't know this.
I don't find it useful, frankly I think its dumb and can easily lead to unnecessary images issues
It does this in both B&W/IR and Color modes. Even more dramatic in B&W
Firmware bin last.
Just an update, I tried the Dahua firmware, failed regardless of which way around sadly, so for now, guess I stick with current new, or drop back to previous depending.
Is anyone else seeing a darker image on sub stream below 1080p with the very latest firmware? mainstream is normal, just sub stream. I am running Blue Iris but it can be seen via the camera interface also.
@bigredfish
Can you try smart ilu ?
On my 54pro ze it stopped working. Not sure if its related with turning off meta data
