Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

Still a small amount of blur. Especially in color. Will work to reduce that more.

Hey guys

Tomorrow we will have a beta firmware for fixing up some issues we found, will post here when ready. Design based on 0827 latest new fw.
Hopefully solve some problems.

Do I have to update to 0827 first? Or can I just jump to this newest FW?

I have been following this thread since it was posted and was inspired to purchase a PRO model to take my first step up to a "real" camera, pretty much from the get-go. Prior to receiving it I had read the recommended settings and other important information from prolific IPTC members including witaj, TonyR, steve1225, bigredfish, and the list goes on. My thanks to them and to the testers who have taken their time to provide us with insights into these new cameras in their early days. And of couse, thanks to Andy for providing us with a great source of products, service and information.

When I received my camera I plugged in the night time settings suggested in another thread by bigredfish. Having seen some of his videos I thought they might be a good starting point for me because my use is outdoors without nearby ambient light, other than the occasional passing car. (edit: I forgot to write that I bought an IR illuminator and run the cam at night in B/W) I popped the camera in a window and there it has sat (capturing) since. Until now, when I tweaked the settings per those above.

I am sorry for not being set up (or knowledgeable enough) to help with testing but I look forward to more great posts on this topic.

edit: I may not know enough about the ins-and-outs of even the basics yet, but I am pleased with the PRO and have faith that it will live up to its potential.

Yes, my target is to make the users do less settings and get great pics and less false alarms, I am pushing those engineers badly to get a better version. Good things they are working faster now than the camera release.

But please give us the capability to go manual ... not only if we need to for the scene ... but also for testing purposes so we can control the settings.

Looking forward to the firmware Andy and I'll definitely give it a go on my camera's. Bonus points if you can provide some detailed release notes on what they thing is "fixed."

My "sacrificial" T54PRO-ZE is standing by to be upgraded ...

Since I got it just a couple of days ago, is it still covered under warranty if your firmware bricks it?!? ;-)
aha won't brick. We have warranty center in US, can fix up any camera or NVR if bricked.

Beta firmware is ready, anyone want to test please send me a DM.

The latest new fw for the 54PRO camera, mainly fix up soft pics and improve the pics.

Thank you @EMPIRETECANDY for providing the software which I just applied and this updated the camera to "3.R, Build Date: 2025-10-22" ... so I guess we'll call it the "Andy 1022 FW"

TL;DR is a routine update as all went fine and the camera is back-up and running and looks "normal" - will look "closer" later today as a bit busy this morning/afternoon.

FYI that I tried to do "by folder", but it said "the update package does not support update by folder" so I did the 117 MByte "General... .bin" and then the 723Mbyte firmware.bin. Note it does a reboot after each one and there's a warning message in the Maintenance Center after the first since it's not "complete" yet.

BTW, I timed the 723 MByte upload and it took 66 seconds ... so almost 11 MBYTES/sec. So while my computer<>network<>camera is plenty capable of delivering the full wire speed of 100Mbits/sec, unfortunately download speeds of the .dav files didn't change - still a pokey 1.3 MBYTES/sec. I actually did 54.5 and 479.6 MByte files - speed was exactly the same so I do think there is some (artificial) throttling in the code that could be easily fixed - see this thread.

Here's the version differences (BOLD when it changed) - note there is something NEW called "Cloud Service" - anybody know what this is?
