US Elections (& Politics) :)

You realize there is no substitute plan currently being discussed.

The Republicans are using the “but illegals” on this because they know you’ll fall for it. They would have to repeal the 1986 law, which also effects millions of truly needy AMERICANS

Nuke the filibuster rule and live with what comes with it.

Lets hope that there are enough level headed people to understand that cutting off Food assistance AND healthcare for some 20-40 million people is NOT a good idea.

Oh I know, tough guy voice "Fuck em all freeloaders"
Thats not the country I grew up in. Some level of compassion is a hallmark of the America we knew

Reuters: “The court’s action, known as an administrative stay, gives a lower court additional time to consider the administration’s formal request to only partially fund the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, known as SNAP or food stamps, for November. Chief Justice John Roberts, who issued the stay, set it to expire in two days.”

1 in 8 Americans on food stamps. Sad. I wonder how many are on food stamps because they want to. There are a lot of them who have no compassion for those forced to pay for their gift. In fact I'm sure they are resentful. The only ones who deserve compassion are the ones who really need it. 1/4 of them? 1/2, 3/4...who knows.

All I know is that I am traveling from Houston to Myrtle Beach in my motorcoach along the same route that I did back in June and buying diesel at the same stations and the cost is twenty cents a gallon more now than it was in June.

Just paid $2.31 at the pump this week. Groceries are not down or up where we live, pretty much the same as it has been these last couple of years. Restaurants have raised their prices, but hard to put a finger on it since we saw this happening last year too. Depending on which restaurant, how long they held out hoping grocery prices would go down, guessing, but one owner did tell us this. We have plenty of restaurants still with low pricing though. Mainly lunch specials...
The restaurants with buffets have definitely went up since we moved here 2 years ago. About a couple of dollars more for a buffet.
Come On Down, you're the next contestant/customer...on the Price is Right! :p
Sam's Club yesterday...

Maybe Trump is right, he wants to see gas at $2 a gal. or lower he said...

Fully agree . That’s the rub.

I have to say Elon is right, Robots is definitely the next Big Thing, trumping cell phones in the future...I can see a world with Robots at our side, taking our calls, doing our chores, scheduling our meetings/appointments, driving our cars, etc. Becoming our Avatars.
Guess we will have to pay for two seats on an airplane in the future, lol

I have often said I will be dead before I see this, but boom, it's already here...

Do I like it? I don't know, having a personal assistant/secretary may be nice...guessing I will be dead before they go rogue/terminator on everyone...haha

Sure could use one to help me empty the leaves out of our pool, haha, oh and pickup fallen branches...

But something tells me they will be connected to a cloud :(

Think your current FBLie is different than the previous FBLie? LOL  :winktongue:

This story was broke by a reporter who they arrested and intimidated 4 years ago. The FBLie under grifter Kash is no different than the former FBLie under grifter Wray.

America is waking up today to learn that Capitol Police turned CIA orchestrated the pipe bombs on January 6th, and the FBI has covered it up for over fours years. I questioned FBI Dir. Wray, ATF Dir. Dettlebach, and FBI asst Dir. (over DC) D’Antuono under oath. All played dumb.

They're STILL covering it up

I just read how the 'Demoncratic' party is now 'EMBOLDENED' from the blue sputter, so they signaled they would not even think about voting today. I really, really do not like Demoncrats. Really, really. despise them. And liberals? Ha. Don't even have to waste the 0's and 1's on that answer.

As for President Trump. I have stated here many times, I personally DO NOT like the man, I can't even stand to listen to him talk. Never have, never will. But I DAMN WELL LOVE HIS POLICIES, or at least most of them. Now I love my country, does that make me a MAGA person? IDK, and I don't really care.
But I know this: ANYTHING HE DOES IS BETTER FOR THE COUNTRY vs. what Joe Biden and Obummer did when in office. THEY ARE THE REASON why we are turning into a LGBQT 3RD WORLD COUNTRY SHIT HOLE! They started the avalanche, and IMO, President Trump is trying all he can to put the train back on the track. I might not agree with everything he does, and I CERTAINLY can't stand a lot of his childish tweets, etc., but he is trying. Rome was burning...burning the fuk down when he was re-elected. So I am MORE THEN WILLING to give him another 3 years to right the wrongs.

I am not a 'TRUMP BOY', NEVER HAVE BEEN, nor will I ever be. But I do know he is trying...and its one hell of a up hill battle to do so. How far will he get? Who knows....but God Bless him for trying. And yes, he will continue to make some mistakes. Damn him for trying.
100% agree, this is my stance too. During his campaign, he spouted all kinds of things, wars he will stop on day one. I have yet to meet a single person that believed that...we are not stupid, he has said many, many crazy things. So far he is doing everything I voted for. I did not vote for him to give me free money, nor even give me back my wasted tax money that the Demcracks abused and stole. Just stopping this is nonsense spending is good in my book. Come on people,. this takes time, possibly will take his whole term to clean this up. Exposing it is the first step...painfully trying to stop it through our corrupt court system is the next...DOGE is still very active, here in Texas DOGE is a big deal...

There is a huge amount to fix, as you mentioned from Obama/Biden. Will it all be fixed. of course not. Many battles going on in this war to save America...we are seeing battles won and many on hold thanks to Liberal Idiotic Judges/Courts...

I have faith...not in Trump the man, in Trump the Negotiator/Policy Maker...if he could only push aside his ego...hahaha, will never happen...lol

You summed this up perfectly for me as well. I don't like Trump, but I love MOST of his policies and where he is trying to steer this ship.
Haha, I would never have invited Trump for dinner...he does not fit in my circle of people. Dude is Crude...but he is exacting what we need as a President, IMO...I still cringe thinking about the last 4 years with Dementia Joe...

The point isnt whose "fault" it is, and its not about rising prices from 2020, its that Trump and Bessent and Nutlick go on Live Video almost daily telling us stuff that simply isnt true.
Gaslighting isnt going to fix anything. People are noticing.

Why can't he just tell the truth and say "The economy is tough right now but here's what we're doing about it...."

It is just not his way, never has been. He is a Winner in his head, even when he is losing, sometimes really bad...he will never admit defeat...

You know I often thought, 2020, what if the Election was not stolen, which we all know it was, just look at the votes Biden got, 10 mil more, hahaha, more than Obama? Who was the biggest turning point in America, first black president...he sure screwed that up...
Anyway, had Trump lost fairly, we all know he would of not of been silent, he would still of shouted that he won and it was rigged. That is just Trump. He keeps telling himself, in his head, that everything is great as long as he has the Helm...

He is the type of guy that no one likes but because he gets things done, people love him...if that makes sense...

There’s a powerful psychological phenomenon at play that goes beyond simple political alignment. For many members of the MAGA movement, their loyalty to Donald Trump isn’t just about supporting a politician; it's about belonging to a community and a shared identity. When a person's sense of self-worth becomes deeply intertwined with a group and its leader, they will protect that connection at almost any cost. Facts that contradict the leader or the group's beliefs are not just intellectual disagreements; they are personal attacks that threaten their entire worldview. To accept a different reality would mean admitting that their core beliefs are wrong, which for many is a far more painful prospect than dismissing inconvenient truths.

This dynamic creates a feedback loop where loyalty reinforces itself. When a follower defends the leader against criticism, they are not only protecting the leader but also their own commitment to the cause. Every time they rationalize a controversial statement or dismiss a documented falsehood, they are doubling down on their allegiance. This process, often called "escalation of commitment," makes it progressively harder to pull away. It's much easier to stay in the group and believe the external world is hostile and deceptive than to face the cognitive dissonance of realizing you may have been wrong. The media, political opponents, and even basic institutions are framed as "enemies," which only strengthens the group's internal cohesion and a sense of shared persecution.

Last but most importantly, this loyalty-over-logic approach is less about policy and more about emotion. It's a response to a perceived threat to a way of life, a feeling of being forgotten or left behind. The leader becomes a symbol of strength and defiance, someone who "says what we're all thinking" and fights back against a system that has, in their view, failed them. In this environment, rational debate and fact-checking are seen as the tools of the enemy, designed to undermine their faith. The connection to the leader is personal and visceral, a bond forged in shared grievances and a common enemy. It’s a powerful emotional engine that can drive a movement forward, even in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

Hmmm, no food, maybe some of these freeloaders will go get a job...there is plenty of work out there...

Words I have already heard from one of our family members who is on food stamps, she said, looks like I need to go find a job. Duh, ya Think?

Former Capitol Police officer a forensic match for Jan. 6 pipe bomber, sources say

A forensic analysis of a female former U.S. Capitol Police officer’s gait is a 94%-98% match to the unique stride of the long-sought Jan. 6 pipe-bomb suspect, according to a Blaze News investigation confirmed by several intelligence sources.

A source close to a congressional investigation of Jan. 6 additionally told Blaze News evidence has emerged recently that pointed toward law enforcement possibly being involved in the planting of the pipe bombs.

And to the elderly, sick, physically/mentally handicapped, disabled, you say "Tough shit, we got those freeloaders"?

Living in a black and white world is comforting.

You know darn well that is not the freeloaders I am referring to...nor is anyone else...sadly those leeches I am referring to is ruining it for those who truly need assistance...

The family member I mentioned is a prefect example, she has no handicap, is not disabled, no physical issues, mental, well that is another story, mentally lazy...she is Very capable of working, has a spotted working history because she knows if she quits or gets fired and has little to no income she can get free handouts from our Gov't. She choses to live in a broken down trailer...Sadly, white trash is the term used for her.

Let me share this, which is quite the story. The property she is living on once had a house that shared a sewer system with another property. When the house was moved the other property capped it off when they found out she, in her trailer, was tapped into it.
So what did she do, haha, she went out and dug her a hole, threw some rocks in it and created her own sewer system...I am not making this up...of course this is a rural area...oh, she can work, a shovel just fine, lol

These programs should be to help/hand Up, not a help/hand Down...and stay down...
