I am not concerned that individual officers will stalk people that they know. That can be caught and they can be delt with. I don't care if it is used by ICE to go after illegals. More power to them.

My concern is with the following;

It is the Surveillance State that concerns me. And Flock stating that they only grab plates is at best mis-information. It is the use of AI to build a profile and all of the other aspects of this issue that concerns me. Look at what they are doing to that guy. He has done nothing wrong except call out people at government meetings. So they harass him. This is wrong. Now Flock is masking the officer's names so that they will not be held accountable.

Exactly, so they can justify declaring martial law. The bill of rights goes out the window, and everyone becomes a hunted target. They'll use AI to search through all your previous online and personal life activity. Your risk will be assessed, classified and dealt with accordingly.

Well, it seems the "bagging" of Flock cameras was a political move here in Palm Bay. Cameras were covered a week or two before local elections and now that the elections are over, they are now back in service with more going up. They said they checked the permitting and there were no issues with permits THEY approved - all are legal now.
