US Elections (& Politics) :)

Very concerning.... even MAGA should care about this.... antisemitism will suddenly become a National Security issue.
Any American considered antisemitic could be deemed a domestic terrorist

Congress Quietly Moves To Intertwine US, Israeli Militaries On Formal Level

Section 224 lays the groundwork for bilateral research and development, co-production of weapons, joint ventures, licensing agreements, and seemingly every manner of US-Israeli military-industrial complex cooperation. The US and Israel already work together heavily on missile defense, but this provision would greatly expand coordination to seemingly every area of defense tech, including AI, quantum, autonomous systems, directed energy, cyber, biotech, and many more. It also proposes “network integration” and “data fusion.” In other words, the US military’s data could soon be the Israeli military’s data.

If fully enacted, this proposal would provide a higher level of military-industrial integration than the US has with any other country in the world. To be sure, the US has worked closely with its NATO partners on co-production and shared supply chains, most notably via the Defence Production Action Plan. And, as the number one arms dealer in the world, the US provides weapons to militaries across the globe. But that is mostly a one-way street, with the US providing weapons to foreign buyers who only occasionally make parts for those weapons themselves, as in the case of the F-35’s global supply chain.

Section 224 would be a different beast entirely. It would fuse the US and Israeli defense sectors in multiple areas vital to the battlefields of the future, like autonomous systems and cyber. It would also bring extraordinary Israeli influence to the US beyond what it already has through the Israel lobby and its robust network of social media influencers. It would give the Israeli government the opportunity to greatly expand one of the most powerful levers of influence in US politics: jobs in the US By expanding or starting new co-production facilities like it already has in Mississippi and Arkansas, the Israeli government could boast of providing jobs on US soil, thereby securing allies among members of Congress who represent the districts where those jobs lie.

Good luck with that whole "Voting" thing.

Republicans will "miraculously win big in the Midterms and Trump has no plans on leaving in '28

(Rhetorical questions, not challenges, and I'm not fishing for any time-consuming answers. Setting up cameras is a better use of time.)

So how does it help to not vote republican? Is there a better alternative? I say in the big picture there currently is none. With few exceptions, congress is totally corrupted no matter which party is in control. Too many members' first allegiance is to some other country. Most of them prioritize their own wealth and power over working in the interests of those that they laughingly represent. There's close to nobody honest to vote for. If a person with honesty and/or integrity get elected to an office, he'll get crushed by the special interests and either give in to the corruption or quit. Most won't get that far, they'll get crushed on the way to losing the election. Aside from any possible election rigging, all the majority of the voters want is the most cheap stuff and money they can get as soon as possible, damn the consequences. They eagerly believe the lies that they're fed. They may never wake up, but if they ever do, we'll first have to go a lot deeper into the hole than we are now. Then it's either the pitchforks win, or the corrupt establishment wins.

Vote republican=country marches to death in the current direction.
Don't vote republican=country marches to death in a different direction.
Which direction do you like better?

Crazy to think of our options as

"Vote republican=country marches to death in the current direction.
Don't vote republican=country marches to death in a different direction.
Which direction do you like better?"

Personally I think we need to start hitting the upcoming generation with the values that made the USA, as I see so much of our values have gone out the door with what I see coming out of Hollywood and Schools.

Direction I like better... vote whatever diminishes trump's narcissistic influence. Vote Republican, Democrat, or independent... the more towards the center, the better. Sorry, I just can't help it. :)

(My day to be Debbie Downer)
That would be wonderful, but can it be done? My thinking is that in the big picture it's currently impossible. The schools have been infiltrated, taken over, compromised. The harmful Hollywood output is sucked up and supported financially by the population. Going back to my argument, the population majority will have to be hurting a lot more than they are now before they'll change their ways. What I preach to my family is that our society is riding a downslope, and there's a lot further to go. They need to do the best for themselves and their kids while riding it down. Besides the preaching, we're financing the kids keeping the grandkids out of the public schools. I wish we could keep them away from the nasty video games, but have made little or no progress with that.

Agree sir.

IMHO we’re at the point where the only way to win is not to play.

I’m not wasting my time anymore at the voting booth and I’m doing my best to protect assets and find ways to setup my kids as best I can when I’m gone.

I would argue that Trump is exponentially worse and has done more lasting damage than any bad President we’ve ever had from either side. Between that and the inevitable economic reckoning I truly don’t think the Republic recovers.

Logic and history tell us authoritarian government will grow and that the population will tolerate it, until they can’t.

I agree, but what the heck, since it's not tic-tac-toe or thermonuclear warfare, might as well still vote, pick the lesser of the evils... and local elections matter... although, near me, voting is fast and easy... I got respect for those who have to stand in line for hours, I could never understand why that happens?
