It'll be interesting to see if an $11B+ asset (CVNs) can be defended or will go easily to the bottom of the sea. That would be a painful lesson in 2026 that I hope we don't have to learn.

I know a lot of Muslims, and the vast majority don't seem like the type that would embrace the Sharia enforcement thing. In fact, I think that's the major difference between different warring sects of Islam, historically (but I'm brain farting right now). I do believe that the two CAN be separated by those who aren't brainwashed into a literal translation.

I liken it to the different levels of Judaism. Sure, there are hard-liner orthodox Jews who maintain strict adherence to the Torah, but on the other hand, I have a Jewish friend that we joke about that for Passover, he insists on eating his bacon cheeseburger on matzoh.

Unless a nuke is used, I HIGHLY doubt it.
