From a hardware standpoint, they seem to be more or less the equivalent for the current offerings. I'm sure once new models come in then probably will see more drastic changes. Do note that software (firmware) side it seems the Dahua/Empiretech one is still better in my testing. From what I have been told, Luminys is not allowed to use any of Dahua's new tech from the hardware and software side so they need to design their own. With that being said, Dahua firmware is not able to be loaded on to Luminys products. Would show an error when trying to do so. When playing with the Luminys NVRs and cameras, once you start turning on more of the features, it seems to start lagging a bit. I guess they haven't fully optimized the code or something.
