Ideally, it would be nice to have full support for ONVIF Profile M, including processing of bounding box of detected objects from stream metadata. It’s dumb actually
Too bad the IVS detections are not being passed down through ONVIF on UniFi Protect

Did you try Low sensitivity? It’s dumb actually

I kept mine at Medium onlyDid you try Low sensitivity?
Dahua's newest AI NVRs are about the same in respect to thumbnail layout EXCEPT for the fancy animations in UniFi ProtectThose thumbnails sure are nice in Protect.

I meant the ones from Unifi cameras. The ones from the Dahua cams aren't great. But, I was happy to have even those if it wouldn't have been alot of bugs at night.Mine are not right. They are square and don't have the vehicle in them. Any idea why this is happening?

I thought 2k and HD were the same thing. It's strange that some show up as HD and others as 2K.
Yeah, Protect must report them differently for some reason. I don't expect to stop using BI, Since I have a Unifi network, I thought I'd just play around with Protect to see how the third party camera support worked.I thought 2k and HD were the same thing.
Looks interesting. Hoping someone can test out this project and report back. Almost done building out my UniFi network here otherwise I’d give it a shot.Been thinking giving Fregata — Native NVR for Apple Silicon a spin
Blue Iris has been virtually issue-free for me though
The Home Assistant integration option is nice
Me too, this sounds promising.Looks interesting. Hoping someone can test out this project and report back. Almost done building out my UniFi network here otherwise I’d give it a shot.

Don’t waste your money on the G2 NVRs
Buy an AI Port
You have to buy an AI Port for each third party camera, right?
That’s correct, but I have only been able to get one ONVIF camera setup thus farInfo here:
- ONVIF:
- 4K: 1 camera
- 2K: Up to 2 cameras
- HD: Up to 3 cameras
- Protect:
- 4K: Up to 2 cameras
- 2K: Up to 3 cameras
- HD: Up to 5 cameras
I believe you can get 2 cameras at 4MP (2560 × 1440), but someone should fact check me
It does seem wonky in the way it works. For me.... Using the same group of cameras, previously it said I had 6 x 2K cameras and 5 x 4K cameras. I looked at Protect today and it says 6 x 2K and 6 x 4K. Going through my list of cameras it seems it now has started classifying one of my 4MP cameras as 4K.As a test, I adopted 12 of my 54IRs this afternoon. It's strange that some show up as HD and others as 2K.

Yeah.... for 2K it is for resolutions up to "1440". I have a couple that were "1520" and it classified it as 4K so I had to log into the camera and lower the resolution. Then remove the camera from Protect and re-adopt it.Info here:
