Similarly to the cluster bombs they shoot, they don't care who gets hit.

Imagine a civilian cruise ship with hundred of people triggering a mine.
This is an assymetric warfare, meaning, Iran fights without any limitations but Israel and the US does try to only hit non civilians.

I'm not saying Israel is perfect.
Soldiers sometimes do not obey orders, but I would say it's a small percentage.

Settelers cause many troubles (almost all the time), again violating the law, they are not punished enough.

Bibi is probably corrupted, but that was never proved.

It's easy to preach from the safe USA, when no one dares to think shooting a missile toward you or launch a terror attack with pickup trucks.
But to criticize Israel, that mostly defends its civilians is just ludacris.

BTW, regarding this war with Iran, I think it was a mistake, the outcome was probably known in advanced for both Israel and the US, but still they started it.
 
My other 2 cents, Israel (and probably the US), need to have cost effective weapons.
As this war proved,.having a aircraft carrier or stealth jets, doesn't guarantee a win.

Money is the main issue, how long can you continue to fight and how much it costs you to attack/defend.

Ukraine mastered this I think, but Israel did not. Iran/Hamas/Hezbollah mastered this long ago and they keep improving in a faster pace than Israel.

How do you justify this, why do you kill 11 unarmed fisherman, just trying to find food?

My point, mistakes happen during war, if the soldiers were certain there are fisherman, maybe they would have done something else.

Perhaps China can send it's Naval Militia in to mine clear the channels and get shipping moving again in the Strait of Hormuz

Sometimes I wonder if the "rules of war" are valid enough to make a meaningful deterrent.

Or perhaps it will be only the victors who do the war crimes trials, and victims do not get a proper hearing.

I do not see Putin or Xi getting tried for war crimes.

Trump, the Democrats would be happy to prosecute him again and again.
