Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

I think maybe a bug, try deleting it then redraw, but I saw this a bit, went back and tried again, worked as expected.
I've tried that, ugh. shift-click, ctl-click, cmd-click, double click, nope! Oh, on Andy's 1028 FW... on pale moon. Maybe try IE now...nope, no help there

trying to set up IVS in T54Pro ze... Usually in the 5442 I can draw a tripwire as a zig zag... straight line, click on end and continue in another direction to zigzag. but on new guy, all l get is one straight line, no way I see to continue that line in a different direction. So a zigzag might be 5 rules? did something change or am I duh?
Yes, delete original line and create a new one. This works for me. My problem is that I can't reliably end a line when I want. I haven't been able to create and end a line in Global yet. (MacOS)

I haven’t been able to either. Looks like they may have taken away zig zag capability? Or mebbe one of the various FWs has it and I haven’t bothered to check them all..

I just tried zig zag, seems fine. left mouse click, go up, click, go down, click, keep going for many, then right mouse click to stop, and then apply to lock it in.

I use the same process for a straight line, and end with right mouse click to stop, and apply.

Was just playing with the flicker high tonight at IVS trip ... I like it for the sides of the house and backyard during the over night.

What browser?

Oh, in case it's related ... I'm on the 10/15 v3 Dahua firmware from Andy yesterday. I wanted to see how it compared to the 10/28 firmware and updated all 5 cameras yesterday, though I don't remember any issue setting the IVS tripwires with the 10/28 firmware, but I only had only tried straight lines on 10/28..

I tried the 10/31 (aka 10/15) release and pretty sure that it does NOT include the image improvements as seen in the 10/22 & 10/28 releases - mostly just LED light improvements. I went back to the 10/28 release.

First night of testing the 54PRO ZE with Smart Illum in a more open, less ambient light scene, allowing the white LED's to come on with movement, were not successful.
As with the 3449 PRO and as seen with my AS fixed 54PRO, both can do well and arguably better in IR at night than the 5442, (as long as you can tolerate the digital fuzzies (technical term)
But like the 5442, unless you're in a tight closed area with lots of added ambient light, you're still going to have a problem running color at night unless you can live with 1/120 or slower and/or your target is far enough away from the lens that you don't notice the digital noise.

Daytime its fine, and of course the benefit of dual mics and the LED's can be helpful in some scenes.

Will test the newest FW today/tonight and provide videos

There is a reason for the movie industry spending lots of time and money on lighting equipment and people to haul it around, along with the generators and cables to run them for the past 100 years. Natural light, electric or reflectors, there has to be enough light to capture images. And much more for color. Considering this the quality of the images you guys are producing is pretty fantastic. :)

Yeah, I was playing with the white light last night, but it's just not suitable for large areas, thus why last night I just set it up to act as a flickering warning light. If someone crosses into my property during the overnight AM hours they flicker high for 15 seconds. Not expecting it to deter much but better than nothing and it looks cool! :)

I already have enough light for 4 of the 5 cameras, with the 5th in IR mode, to get a pretty good look at anyone crossing the tripwire, though I still need to tweak the shutter.
