Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

54IR-S3 is very well known from default config which over-sharpen image...

Many people here on the forum decrease sharpening level in camera config on 54IR...

no they aren't the same time - each video shows someone at different distance, which is max for each camera...

Not sure why you are so obsessed with presentation / marketing infos from dahua. Most of the videos are under optimal conditions and or trained models for presentation material.

Reality is different, as you may notice.

I'm not obsessed..

From time to time I have access to Dahua internal materials, which at this moment are the only place where Dahua put some real information, what they changed or where they progressed.
And what are the plans for future (like future camera/NVRs models or future firmware updates)?

If you look at dahua website, you will not find this information in Dahua product pages or spec sheet.

I hope there are interesting for forum members..

ps. when those cams will be available to all, you will find real benchmarks and comparison here from forum users..

I would like to get a a 5859H-ZE-V-PRO yes the 4K version. No one has tested it yet but the sensor on these are pretty bright and I have lots of light so I would like to see if it would work on license plates. Someone did test the 3 series 4K and the test looked decent. @EMPIRETECANDY are you going to be sellling these at some time soon

For LPR need powerful lens, the 2.7-12mm lens, will be hard, better to use a 8-32MM lens bullet Z4E.

Interesting videos are working...

Comparison of normal IVS (on 54IR 3.6mm) and Large AI Model (on 54PRO 3.6mm)..
required pixel size of object is going down from 40x40 to 20x20..
Detection distance is going up by 50% - from 40m to 60m...

The Pro version has a definately better image in that example. There's more detail in the fence in the right pro image without appearing oversharpened opposed to a very over sharpened artefact-y looking image in the non pro and the grass to the left of the path has more detail in the right pro image. To me the grass isn't just oversharpened in the non pro image but looks more processed and possibly has detail replaced with compression interpretation (difficult to tell from the distance out). I'm guessing compression is reduced on the pro version either by using a higher bit rate, less agressive codec or by AI enhancement. Either way, the Pro looks improved for image quality over the standard camera, at least to my eyes.

The real acid test is how sharp the images are in front of and behind the focal point and how far you can zoom into the image and still retreive a good picture for identification purposes, something I see as vital as life rarely arranges people to commit crimes exactly on the focal point of any camera, although if you're lucky the per will walk through it. Unfortunately you aren't always lucky eg a distant rock throw, or shot etc.

My other issues is I'm not a fan of LED lights. As a daily use I don't see the practicallity. Apart from cost of leaving them permanently on in both eletricity and needing a larger more powerful poe swicth to supply the power, there's also the light pollution outside your home and the wear that will inevitably befall the lights over time ie they will almost certianly get dimmer and fail. Personally I don't mind LED lights for reinforcement when triggered, although I prefer my own flood lighting here, but I'd rather a camera detect a tripped ivs in a dark state and then switch to led if necessary than have have led running all the time. Just my preference which the Dahua wind seems to be blowing aginst atm.

I guess it will all come out in the day / night tests.
