Many of us have mentioned the same thing- a dwell time of say 10 seconds.
But even if it could, it wouldn't work.
1- Because its moved from its preset, there is no longer any IVS rule in the scene to re-activate tracking
2- Assuming you overcome that, Lets say person A is being tracked and goes behind a wall... now person B (or a vehicle) comes out from behind the same wall 30 seconds later.
You're now tracking someone/something completely different.
The only way I see that working is when/if AI gets so good it can A) remember the last target it tracked and B) store enough characteristics to positively ID that target in the given dwell time.
Now picture this whole thing in a scene with a crowd of a dozen, or 100 people....
