Camera suggestions for outdoor, no power, no sun, no internet?

I have seen places mount cameras on a light pole and then pull power from the pole itself. Usually these power sources are around 277VAC so there will need to be a converter to drop the voltage down to your standard 110-120 VAC. So that would be your power source. Then use a point to point antenna to beam the video feeds back to the business which then records to the NVR.

And FWIW, that voltage is generally found on private property, from commercial buildings. If that's the case, you might get permission there but if it's a public property light pole I would not count on it.

One issue with power pole lighting is that not all systems are powered on 100% of the time. Some use one photo cell to turn on/off a number of lights. Thus the power will only be available from sunset to sunrise.

If each light has its own photo cell, then power is most likely available 100% of the time.

Want to mount two cameras outside to look at the entry doors of a business building.

Problems:
  • This is the north side of the building in Michigan, thus no sunlight for solar
  • There is no Internet in/at the building
  • There is no power nearby

I don't want to use battery powered trail cams (they look ugly).

Cellular is an option, but wondering if a cellular wifi hotspot might be better (financially) than putting multiple cams on a cellular account.

Solar panels would have to be mounted about 30 feet away in order to get direct sunlight.

The doors are on a public sidewalk, so there is the potential for a lot of false hits.

Anyone have any ideas? Google searches turn up too many options to make sense of the results.

Thanks.
Look, mate, skip the ugly trail cams and the multiple SIM cards. Grab a couple of sleek battery cams with AI person detection to filter out the sidewalk noise, hook them both up to a single industrial 4G Wi-Fi router to save on data costs, and just run a 10-metre DC extension cable from your solar panels 30 feet away, without making your shopfront look like a mess.
