Blue Iris UI3

Since Blue Iris still doesn't offer full-featured update checking functionality for apps/UI3 to use, I spent some time tonight to build a proxy server that can provide the update check function in lieu of an official solution.

This is an unofficial solution and could break at any time, but I intend to fix/maintain it for as long as it is possible and useful.

It is released in UI3-334 and is currently accessible to administrator users via UI3's Main Menu > Server Control panel. A future UI3 update will put this directly into the main menu so it'll be a little more accessible.

I'm no longer seeing Alerts on the TImeline. I have the continuos recording bars but no alert markers. (I have tested since the issue mentioned below).

Prior to this Alerts haven't been firing in any event (I have tested for alert markers since) but this seems to be because the setting in AI reverted to "No GPU". Previously this would have worked but I've now been forced to manually select "Intel 630 Intergrated graphics" is this correct now? (The other option is Microsoft software basic rendering).

I can't answer that. All I can say is alerts still work for me and appear in the timeline across every system I've seen (on BI 6.1.0.0). But I do not use AI in Blue Iris so I am rather unfamiliar with its setup quirks.

Previously, every trigger appeared on the timeline as a line with a person symbol above it. Now the timeline is just plain bars of background recording giving no visual indication of trigger events.

I don't use in camera AI as the 4kt's seem to struggle with many options ticked. They've always seem underpowered, so I off load as much as possible to BI & AI especially.

I just checked mine as I use AI within BI. Mine all looks good. Have you tried deleting the cookie for your BI machines IP# ? Running 6.1.0.1 UI3 337

Deleting cookies shouldn't make a difference except it might help you get a new session string from Blue Iris (not guaranteed; Blue Iris session handling is rather quirky; the logout button doesn't actually log out the session, etc). Something it might do is clear the localStorage data for UI3 which resets all of UI3's settings. There is a setting in UI3 for controlling the vertical orange bars that mark alerts, but there's no setting for hiding the icons.

Aside, I notice there is some glitch currently affecting UI3's ability to display alert thumbnails in the timeline (when you zoom in all the way). I don't know the cause yet. Possibly related but I doubt it.
