Has there been any further update since the August update?

I noticed that AI functions have been added, WOW @EMPIRETECANDY Thank you

Is there any advantage upgrading up the ladder or is better to just upgrade to the latest version in one-go?

I purchased a NVR5208-8P-4KS2 running V3.216.0000004.0, Build Date: 2018-12-29 from you a while back. Can I go straight to V4 from this firmware?

So the process of upgrading is using a thumb-drive with firmware.
1. save configuration file to thumb-drive
2. perform factory reset
3. install upgrade firmware
4 perform factory reset
5 reload saved configuration file from thumb-drive.

Does this sound correct?

Will the IVS, camera configurations stay the same after firmware update?
 
I’d sure like to try it. I have a brand new 5832 that I bought for the purpose of running this firmware but it has the relay clicking issue on the previous release

My system has been running great since installation. I don't recall loading plugins to anything.
All this bought from Andy this year starting with NVR in January.

I have not upgraded firmware in fear of screwing something up.
But I really miss the email capability.

Windows 7 is not a problem, we also work it on the W7 computers, no problem at all.
 
Not tested in deep yet, but noticed a couple of things, it asks to install the plugin for the video previews in the AI events, and the PEAP, using dot1x, seems not working anymore, I switched to EAP-TLS (creating and loading cert and key), NVR successfully authenticated.
 
Mmm ... not able to get sub-streams of the cameras from NVR , reverted back to previous fw, sub-streams ok.
 
Not sure if others are seeing this issue but I reported it to @EMPIRETECANDY as well (thanks Andy !). On the 20190930 FW, when you go into the Playback area on the main NV4 screen, then go select camera, then File List (bottom right), when you click on a Clip, the Save button is greyed out. The only option it gives you is to create a clip (Scissors) but that is not the same of course + it only downloads in DAV, no option to change to MP4. You could go to Backup then Search, use a time window and download that way but the Playback way should work so looks like something happened in the FW. Also the Video Clip (Scissors) and Save buttons only seem to exist in the web guide using IE. These are completely missing when using Firefox or Chrome.
