BI 6 HQCam not recording

Hi,
I hope someone can help me. I just bought BI 6 and it connected with my HQCam and HIKVision cameras OK. HIKVision was used before on the trial version of BI some time ago and it picked up the old configuration.
I have a problem with the HQCam though. I can't get it to record after any motion. It has motion detection set and records after a manual alert but doesnt want to trigger with real motion.
I am seeing 'Check FPS and key rates' in General/Status. I've set the max rate in Video to the 20FPS that the camera setup says it has. Not sure if this is a factor?
I know the camera produces alerts OK as it worked fine on Agent DVR. HIKVision works fine.

Any ideas what I need to do here?

PC is ancient as am I: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4590S CPU @ 3.00GHz, 3001 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)

I think we would have to see screen captures of the motion detect setting for that camera in BI to be able to make any suggestions!

Rather strangely it does seem to be recording alerts now.

It's a being used as bird box camera and my switiching the light on and off and sticking something in the hole (so to speak) didnt trigger any alerts but the resident Blue Tit returning seems to have kicked things off!

It's still erroring with the 'Check FPS and key rates' though. Not sure if this is something I should be concerned about?

It could be that the camera is struggling with the limited light in the bird box, some cameras will change their frame rate based upon the amount of available light, what does BI show for the camera in the BI "Status" window on the "Cameras" tab, is that camera set to use the H264 Codec, what are the Main stream and Sub stream "FPS/key" numbers; the recommended numbers would be "15.00/1.00", the make and model of the camera would also be useful!

The strange thing was that it wouldnt alert when in day mode and is now working in night mode.

This is the status:

It does appear to use H264:

The FPS is 20 but not sure where the key rate is.

The camera is a chinese special. HQCam PS6Lite IP POE Camera from Shenzhen Hanqin Electronic Technology Co. Ltd

First change the camera "Rate control" to Constant Bit Rate (CBR), you also need to set the "I-Frame Interval" to the same as your FPS so that the second number becomes a 1.0 i.e. FPS/Key is "20.0/1.0" you also need to change the "Video coding" from H265 to H264!

This needs to be done for both the main stream and the sub stream, if the camera has a sub stream!

Thanks for your help Bruce. I'm guessing i should see the FPS/Key as "20.0/1.0" in the General/Status for the Camera?

Its not erroring and its hovering around 19-21 followed by /1.0 fps:
