What about Hikivision, don't they have something like the 5542 in the same price range?
Those have been harder to get in the states for years. Most don't feel they are as good either. I got rid of my last hikvision not to long ago.

No matter which brand, the prices badly effect by the DDR price going out off control, i think in 2027 ,most cameras' price will double. I spent lots of time everyday, think how to cut the cost and make the price stable, really hard time.
So this year, we will keep the models stable and not release too many new things, will have some, but not too many.

If it equals 5442 in moving image quality and has white LEDs that can be programmed to come on with IVS, (5442 with lights as I said over a year ago) then I’d buy a couple

I don't think many people will buy it. 300 is just too much for a slightly better 54-ze model.

We didn't realize how good we had it here! Already missed Andy's Spring sale, but I just bought another cam from him to support him through this slow time. I don't mind having a few (lol) spares laying around now, they might come in handy the next few years. BTW anyone one else sick of seeing all the stupid AI crap. All I think now when I see it just reminds me why I can't find cheap memory or storage anymore

Yes, at 2027 you will find the camera you bought at 2025 or 2026 price double. This is not kidding, the market is very crazy. Sure the Federal Gov can buy a fixed lens camera easily at 300usd, but folks here will be very hard. But if you buy the DDR compaines' stocks like Micron, Sandisk,Seagate can buy cams easily.
I remeber at March, i called guys to all in Micron, hope they earn some if they follow me^^ Because we are on the market, so we know what is really happening before the news coming out.
