2025 New Arrivals From EmpireTech

All of this price increase so some dumb zoomer, sitting on his moms couch, doesn't have to strain his little brain figuring out what to eat for breakfast out of moms fridge........they will just let AI decide for them......Next time you see a zoomer talking to ai on their phone, smack them upside the head and tell them it is a thanks from the rest of civilization.....:wtf:

I purchased 8TB NAS HDD's just before Xmas for $199.00/ea. Today, if you can even find one in stock, they are running $600+. That much of a price increase in less than 90 days.
Even refurbished 20TB Refurbished NAS Seagate HDD's?

Dunno. If you got some you don't need, you should stick e'm out there for sale. Somebody will snap them up. Maybe they have invented an AI purchaser......

Prediction:
Not going to see much difference in the newer cameras this year besides being able to change the color temperature of the built-in LEDs (i.e. 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 5000K, 6000K) in these cameras and more AI fluff. :lmao:
The 5442 S3 series is still going to be King this year.

If there was anything revolutionary, the title of this thread would have been changed to 2026 by now

the new 7 PRO series is based on new (2024/2025) generation OmniVision sensors with DUAL-ISO (ClearHDR). OmniVision sensors (previous gen) where used in 5442-S3 and 7442-X...

they DON'T have any AI-ISP / WizColor AI references in spec sheet...

We wait for first samples from Dahua / Andy...

Good to eliminate the AI completely and rely on IVS but I feel like IVS worked well in tandem with AI reducing false alerts

And return to XX century? no...
AI is and will be part of our life.. And it will progress in next models...

Problem with AI on CCTV cameras is that CCTV cams are using cheap a few dollars SOCs (chips), which are very limited..

There is big difference on AI capabilities / performance / size between cheap SOCs used by HIK / Dahua and latest >100$ iPhone A18-PRO or MacBook M5 PRO SOCs...

A Google search on Dahua's latest and next generation products brought up this picture and suggested no further research was necessary.
