    Mine is outside, it can make all the noise it wants. Anybody close enough to hear it is getting their picture taken and I doubt they'll complain. Seriously, I've never heard a thing coming from mine.

    If the buyer/end user doesn't have access to the products it's not a very sound business model. Such as in my case, Dahua lost the opportunity to make future sales. I'm sure I'm not the only one. as for what their intent is, I couldn't care less.

    Other than a couple EmpireTech cams on Amazon I haven't been able to find any that aren't so stupidly priced that I can't see anybody buying them ($2699.99 for a 5mp dome cam? Gimmie a break). There are none on eBay. All the others are found are grossly over priced and being sold by "Dealers"...

    I've discovered something strange about mine. It has a 360 degree horizontal field of view. Wasn't expecting ting this first time I saw it. I hope it's by design, if not it will surely self destruct when the wires to the turret break.
