I wouldn't try to predict will will happen, but history shows what could happen. I graduated college with a BSEE in 1970, and started sending out resumes months in advance. I was not aware that the job market was tanking. At first I got response letters, phone calls and a couple of interviews...

Do you use a patch panel?

I'd like to know more about this recommendation. I've got close to a hundred RJ45s on solid wire, using connectors spec'd for solid wire, with no problems whatsoever except for those that were my own error.

Anybody try Visible Wireless for cell phone provider?

I've been using US mobile for at least a year on the Verizon network and it works great. I'm on the cheapest 2 GB/month plan and occasionally have to buy more data at $2 per GB. Based on the number of US Mobile responses I'd conclude that this forum is full of cheapskates.

I usually post links. I figured the story here was the typical opposite headlines that are both probably twisted and exaggerated BS, live at the same time. MSN Waves of Democrat Influencers Are Exposed as Foreigners - Update

"That language was negotiated in bipartisan talks in the Senate, but was added to the funding bill without House Republicans’ knowledge" So they voted to pass a bill without reading it or otherwise knowing what was in it. This is IMO criminal. (I know it's not the first time). House votes to...

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

I'm wanting the PRO to work like the old cameras with regard to color and bw switching and the IR lights. The only way I found to do this was to use Self Adaptive mode, and set the warm white lights to manual and 0% intensity.

With Fidelity, and I assume others, a roth conversion is easy. Just transfer money from your traditional IRA to your Roth IRA. Between providers I've always done trustee-to-trustee transfers. Less hassle. Fearing things getting screwed up, if I was wanting to do a conversion AND change...

Best use for IPC-HDW5831RP-ZE cameras // Will it be OK in conjunction for "overall" view dedicated LPR camera?

Not addressing the question specifically, just general discussion. I've for years been using a 4231 6mm 2MP Starlight bullet for LPR. It did the job. I replaced it a few days ago with a 6mm 5442 turret. What a difference, especially at night! With the 4231 the nighttime numbers were fuzzy...

I say no. The traditional IRA distribution is taxed the same as ordinary income. I'm guessing the discrepancy is that the withholding table uses "total income", while the tax rate schedule (tax brackets) uses taxable income. There's probably the amount of typical or average deductions baked...

    EmpireTech 2025 Autumn Sales

I don't know how either. Here are alerts on shadows and clumps of grass, from the S3: The white dot that I assume is caused by a spider: A typical timeline when wind is blowing the grass: Are you using Long Distance Mode? Perhaps that's an explanation. When I don't use Long...

    EmpireTech 2025 Autumn Sales

I think you are being too judgmental here. We're seeing that the PRO is not meeting a lot of peoples' expectations. For me so far with my sample of one unit, yes, there are some things I'm disappointed with. But there are other things it's doing nicely. I'm not shooting my mouth off a lot...

I'm sorry, you need to analyze democrat policies with a democrat mindset. I fixed it. $700 million will easily run the buses Service quality will increase, creating more demand - a righteous circle Unions will be obsolete because it's so wonderful If anything goes wrong, it's the repubs' fault

    Deer season 2025

The pacific northwest is experiencing global warming while all of you to the east are freezing your bottoms off with the coming ice age. We usually hit the season low of -20F in December. This is east of the Cascade mountains. Here are a couple of guys going at it a few years ago:

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

Our perceptions differ. I consider the 4k-x to be gigantic compared to the 1/1.8 sensor bullets. The 4k-T isn't available with a 6mm lens probably because it wouldn't fit in the case, while the larger 4k-x was available in a 6mm version. The cameras with a 1/2.8 sensor use an M12 lens, 1/1.8...

It's not just about the cost of the sensor. Larger sensors need larger lenses. Larger lenses need larger camera cases.

The ACA has been a huge windfall for the insurance companies and big pharma. I would guess a lot of this flows back to the politicians. On my medicare statements, the payment to the provider is usually between 25% and 33% of what they bill for. For pharma, part D, it's usually pretty close to...

False. You can't afford a home because: a) Blackstone & other groups that are gobbling up all the housing inventory, to perpetually rent out; b) AIRBNB; c) legal immigration from high net-worth folks who buy, often cash. Mostly from California, soon to be also from New York.

I tripped into a different item where the PRO is inferior to the 5442, that the ethernet link is less robust (disclaimer: I have only a sample of one unit). I replaced a 5442 with the PRO, on the end of a 200' cable run and an amazon/ebay type of POE splitter. This setup has been running the...

Review- New Design Tendelux 10 Watt IR illuminator.

I can only give the very subjective answer that in my situation I think it does pretty good. The 6 LED model apparently isn't being sold any more. I found a review for it at https://networkcameratech.com/univivi-u06r-ir-illuminator-review/ . One difference is that the reviewer had the 60...

I was in the same boat before hitting 65. It was ridiculous what the insurance companies designated as a disqualifying pre-existing condition. Too long for me to remember the details, but as a representative example, I had a heart murmur until age mid 20s or so, when it went away, that they...

    US Elections (& Politics) :)

This was THE big problem with the old system, but in solving it the dems added a bunch of costly, unnecessary, and socialist stuff that added control and cost to the entire system. They didn't let a good crisis go to waste, extending government power and meddling.
