    Money & Economics

Not just AI layoffs, anyone who follows macro economics will tell you we're living on borrowed time. Debt interest passed Defense spending last month, inflation is running at 4+% not 2 as you're told. And the big one, the dollar and our Treasuries are being sold off around the world as we create...

Need some help, so close i think

Your focus is on the parked car plate. The cars you want to ID are a good 30+ feet closer and off at an angle. 1- Set your focus for the cars you want to get plates on, NOT the parked car 30+ feet away 2- Aim the camera more to the left 3- a bit more zoom wouldnt hurt. You're trying to...

Re: overbuilding. I don’t think this piece says that. That said, Overbuilding is a lagging effect, happens after the main rush, expecting it to continue. That’s part of what’s driving price reductions here in Florida. New homes are starting to sell for less than existing as builders offer...

The Importance of Focal Length over MP in camera selection

I had both a 4M-T and and a 4M-TZ. I gave both away Here;s the 3,.6mm fixed 4M-T I'm about 3ft at closest point. Notice the fuzz. No other lights. IR is strong, but white LED's in color die at about 15ft There's a whole thread around here somewhere... 3449H-AS-PV-PRO (TIOC) - same as Andy's...

The Importance of Focal Length over MP in camera selection

Nope I was wrong At zero zoom it’s 5.74 ft so probably similar with some zoom I’ll find a video of the fixed 3.6 and post it here in a bit https://empiretech01.com/products/empiretech-ipc-color4m-tz-1-1-8-cmos-4mp-wizcolor-3-in-1-pro-vari-focal-turret-network-camera

Snapshots Not Being Sent with Dahua WizMind NVR5216-16P-I

I mean the NVR should see it and synch. I’ve had it do that on a number of cameras

The Importance of Focal Length over MP in camera selection

It’s pretty good to 10-15ft, but to minimize digital noise it still dies better with added supplemental light. Like a 500-1000 lumen battery flood

Is the regime in Iran soon to be toast?

The IRGC has warned ships near the Strait to leave the area. Many of these ships have been anchored here for weeks, and it’s unclear why the IRGC is now pushing them further into the Persian Gulf.

I don't have that exact camera but you should have two settings (assuming its recording snapshots under the main recording schedule/snapshot) on the camera individual IVS rule their is a snapshot box to tick (as well as the "Record" and "Snapshot" event linkage on the NVR on email setup...

Our eyes must be very different.. The PRO to me looks much like the last round of tests I did some months back. Its Brighter and Softer/Smoother, but lacks detail. Still looks like you have to dial Sharpness back to around 15 and NR high to mitigate the "fuzzies" creating a soft image lacking...
