    I'd say its largely dependent on how difficult the cat6 drops are in your residence. Once cabling is ran the rest is all downhill from there.

    The way I look at it…I want protect but not their dogshit cameras. G6 Pro is 550$. A 5442 cost me 180 and a port per 2 cameras works out to 280 per cam. That’s how I swallowed it.

    For 16-24 port switches? Not really it just looks cool and you can tell what plugs are going to what vlans. Now if you have multiple 48 port switches I could see it being argued as useful.
