Axis m5014 supposed to be 30fps but maxes at 6.49fps...

Got an Axis m5014 supposed to be 30fps but it maxes at 6.49fps...

I did try a factory reset. Same.
If I force the fps settings to 30 directly on the camera. Same.
If I force the fps to 30 in Blue Iris. Same.

This is with 2 different cameras of the m5014 model. Both are updated to the latest firmware.

Could it be that they both got the same defectiveness (since they're on the older side)?
 
I've now added all the cams (3x M5014, 1x M3204, 2x P3346). They mostly all do get only 6.49 fps.... Except one : AXIS P3346.

I have another P3346 (10.0.0.200) and that one is not as lucky.

Any ideas why the camearas would only be at 6.49 fps? Could it be something wrong with the POE power? Could it be the switch?

I've tried directly from the live view of each camera, in the browser, and it's the same low fps shown there.

This morning they're all at 30fps (or near) !!!! I did nothing (no modifications at all ) since last night! Very Weird.

Any ideas why this could have happened?

I think I've narrows it down though.... Me feel 'tupid....

When the lights are off, fps goes down to 6.49 fps. But, in the morning, when there's enough light in the rooms, fps goes up to 30 fps!!!

I guess that's normal behavior for older Axis cams. Do you think it is?

It is likely automatically adjusting the exposure to 1/6 at night which will limit the fps to 6...and your image if there is movement will be very blurry.

The exposure on the M5014 is set to default: 50. And it seems there's no automatic setting on this one (view screenshot). Also no Day/Night function.
On the P3346 there's:
.....Exposure value: 50 (default)
.....Exposure control : Auto
.....Day/Night : IR cut filter: Auto.

On the M5014 I did play with the Exposure value while in low light condition, the fps stayed at 6.49.
For the P3346, even when set to Exposure control: Auto, the fps goes down a lot in low light. Right now there's just a bit of light and the fps is at 8.08 fps.

one of those settings should allow you to set the exposure manually or to lock it. Maybe no, but that is likely what is happening. These are really old cams and they will struggle in low light.

To break it down to the basics, 1/30 will have less motion blur but need more light than 1/6, that is why some cams adjust to make the image brighter at the expense of motion blur. Looks good until someone walks by.

My cameras have values from 1 to 100 for Exposure, but I get the point. The bigger the hole, the more lights gets in, at the expense of motion blur.
