First of all: VIKYLIN sells OEM models from both Hikvision
and Dahua. I don't know exactly which model you have, but it appears to be a Hikvision OEM model - something I can't really comment on.
Regarding that:
My main home PC is running Win-7 32 bit. On that PC, I can fully interact with all my Dahau cameras (all turrent cameras) using IE 10, I don't think I ever had to install a plug-in to do it.
Normally, with Dahua cameras, you only get the
full range of icons and settings displayed in Internet Explorer if you use the plugin. However, with an old 32-bit version of Windows 7, I’m not entirely sure what would or wouldn't be displayed in IE without the plugin. It’s been well over ten years since I last used Windows 7.

I was using Dahua cameras back then, too, and as far as I recall, the plugin was required even then - though I can't be 100% certain.
Since I have a Windows 11 VM running here with the old IE installed, I just tested this out:
When you access the WebGUI 3.x of a Dahua camera using
Firefox, this is what it looks like. And yes, audio works in Firefox this way too, provided the correct codec is selected.
If you access the WebGUI 3.x on Windows 11 using the
old IE without the plugin installed, the corresponding notification appears, but you can already see the additional icons/buttons for specific actions/functions in the top-right and bottom-left corners.
Once you install the plugin, it looks like this, and you can also see the camera's live stream.
The situation is similar when the Dahua unit uses WebGUI 5.1.x. There, too, a notification appears regarding the plugin, indicating that it should or must be installed.
Note: Since I have been using Linux rather than Windows for years - and used Firefox even back in my Windows days - I am well aware of what is and isn't displayed in Firefox without the plugin. And yes, I do not need Windows, the old Internet Explorer, or the plugin to use my Dahua cameras and NVR normally. However, there are certainly users who find certain features missing when using Firefox or Chrome and consequently continue to use the old Internet Explorer.
But all of that was really just for general information and doesn't help you with your VIKYLIN camera anyway - assuming my hunch is right and it turns out to be a Hikvision OEM model. I can't say why the audio problem is occurring, though, precisely because I have no experience with VIKYLIN cameras.
