Hey everyone,

Quick question for the devs and freelancers here — has anyone found a good way to hand off the client-facing side of their work?

I'm a full-stack dev and I handle everything technical myself, but the calls, demos, and client updates eat up a lot of my time. I've been thinking about finding someone long-term to handle that side while I focus on building.

A few years ago I had a setup like this with a partner in the US and it worked really well. He's since moved into a full-time role, so I'm exploring what's out there.

If anyone has done something similar — or has thoughts on where to even look for this kind of person — I'd really appreciate hearing about it. Based in Asia myself, so I'm mainly curious about people in North America, Europe, Australia, or Latin America.

Thanks!

Don't you think one post on this topic is enough? ;)

I can't fathom why you're looking for a "partner" here of all places, but then again, I don't need to - nor do I want to.

And yes, I’m starting to view your posts here as spam, too. :)

I don't want to offend anybody in the case that I am wrong, but I am thinking this is a bot (or mostly bot).

Again, forgive me if I am wrong, but, nobody writes these kind of em-dashes in a title of all places! Give it a break. :banghead:

@Mike - Is this "user" behind a datacentre IP address?

Hello @Danny Yu,

I have processed several reports from members who objected to the content of some of your posts as being spam-like due to them not aligning with the general aims of this forum.
I was a little undecided on how best to respond as your posts didn't contain explicit web links to commercial targets, and on balance after canvassing the views of another moderator I decided to reject the initial reports.

However - the reports keep coming and I have decisions outstanding on how to respond.

Despite that you are not advertising a commercial service, you are soliciting for a revenue-linked activity, and unless specifically authorised, this is arguably against the T&Cs of this forum, see the extract below.

Businesses or individuals representing businesses are not allowed to post outgoing links, affiliate links or advertisements to their products / services or solicit members in any way whatsoever. This will be considered spam and result in an instant, non-reversible ban.

Before I make any decisions, such as content deletion and possible banning, I'd like to give you a right to reply.
Is your entire purpose of being a forum member to find a business partner, or do you intend to contribute to technical and social discussions linked to this forum's purpose and activity?

Reasonable (and short) comments from forum members would assist.

So that is enough for me to delete my post at all?
Actually really finding partner but most of them consider this as spam or something similar
Really sorry to hear that kind but got the point as well

I appreciate there may be a language barrier, but I am struggling to quite make sense of this here reply...?

How can you say that is bot?
You mean I am bot?
Really stressful day

Wtf spam and bot

If you no interesting, then do just keep silence as well
Thank you
I am not saying 'you're a bot'. I wonder if perhaps an AI tool was used for translation of your original post, hence the formatting which I picked up on.

Arguably there is nothing wrong with that. But, considering repeated posts which appeared to be recruiting some kind of business partner, I got a bit suspicious.

Actually really finding partner
That may well be - though, judging by your posts so far, I don't really believe it - but if so, you’re in the wrong place. This forum is about IP cameras and related topics; it is not a venue for finding potential "business partners" or "office service providers."

Let me put it this way: your approach here is typical of someone pretending to be interested in the forum and its content, while actually just aiming to either a) harvest addresses and contact details or, worse, b) "rip people off".

First, you make a few pointless "Hi" posts - just in case the forum software requires a minimum post count before a user can post freely across the board.

Then, you might pretend to take an interest in the forum's actual topics...

...and finally, you get to your real agenda - exploiting addresses, contacts, and users - often by spamming multiple posts across various categories.

No, I can't say with 100% certainty that this is your intention, but based on my experience with forums, that’s exactly what it looks like to me.

And no, I don't want to argue about this or justify my opinion. My time is too valuable for that, and ultimately, it’s up to the moderators to decide how to handle your posts here. Since I was the one who created the post mentioned above, I wanted to explain here why I see it that way.

Reasonable (and short) comments from forum members would assist.
That is my opinion - or rather, my view - on the matter. :)

It’s really quite simple: :) just stop creating spam and cross-posts here looking for people to "work" with or for you - however that might be. Instead, you can create posts that focus on technical questions regarding IP cameras and everything related to them.

If you continue to create such spam and cross-posts, your true intentions will be obvious, and a moderator should simply delete your account here immediately.

Remove all post of mine as well

I think they are OK to stay, as they help show issues and opinions of forum members on the topic.

Actually, that's a valid and helpful comment.

Generally it's pretty clear what should be done about posts either reported or in the approval queue that contain obviously inappropriate spam links.
But sometimes it's a bit more borderline.

FWIW, I did not read a valid response from the OP to any of the moderator's comments or questions, AI-assisted or not. And there have been many, many other posters in other threads in the past whose first language is not English that have been able to clarify their posts and their intent with appropriate reponses.

Just my 2 cents.
