I have a remote storage lot where I would like to have a wifi camera for the entrance. Main goal is face recognition. It is well lit so I can run color at night. I would like to do better than Reolink wifi. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

In general, WiFi has a lot of issues with regards to security cameras.

Do you have power to the entrance area ?

Yes, we have power at the gate and lots of floodlights. There is a neighbor that will let me piggyback on their wifi. I was hoping to not get a full blown IP camera with NVR just for 1 or 2 cams.

People here don't recommend wifi for anything other than pet and kid watching. If you want it to be useful and reliable for face recognition, it needs to be wired.

Wifi is not reliable and many times when there is motion the wifi can't keep up and the resolution goes down. Wifi usually only records on motion and no matter how good detection is, it can miss.

We have a thread dedicated to the wifi consumer cams - are any of these images adequate quality for your needs?

Great thread link! And outstanding advise wittaj, thank you. I'll be ditching the wifi idea and stopping on over to Andy's site to do a little shopping.
