Where did you get this from? I am from IPVM and while we are critical of Verkada on many things, I do not see them running out of cash any time soon. Also most of their burn rate is from paying sales and marketing people (normal for growth stage SV companies) and can easily be adjusted if there was a real concern about their finances
Whether true or not, it is just another reason why most of us here do not use cloud-based, closed systems.

I am not disagreeing that they are burning cash. My point is that it is typical and even desired with growth companies. I don't see an signs though that their unit economics or business model had fundamental problems. Alternatively put, at some point soon, Verkada will run out of cash again and then they will get more funding, though at what valuation, terms, etc. Is still a risk. Does your source believe Verkada has fundamental economic problems?

Fortunately for Verkada, this person is not very smart and the math is all wrong. Sources have told me that Verkada is cash flow positive already.
Just for fun here are some examples on why this person needs to go back to high school:
1. Cashflow and Revenue are not the same
2. You shouldn't use annual numbers and then shove monthly numbers at it.
This is reminiscent of how flat earthers justify that the earth is flat with their experiments. I guess it all seems correct if your brain is confined to your room.
