I am having an addition put on the back of my house. I want to run 2 cat 6a lines back there for a PoE camera and Wi-Fi access point for the backyard. Ideally both in the center of the yard. Do I need to be concerned about interference? What distance should I have between them? Thanks!

If I am picturing this as you describe, The 6a lines are not attached to the addition but run out in the yard? If so lightning could be a concern as copper can get induced current/voltage from lightning. Other folks are more qualified to recommend solutions, because I'd roll the dice and run cat6 in Pvc conduit and hope for the best. I suppose grounded Conduit might be more correct.
You might get sufficient wifi coverage if the wifi is attached to the "addition"

I'm sorry. I did not depict that correctly. The camera and AP will be attached to the rear wall of the addition, facing the backyard, about 8 feet off the ground (or whatever camera height is ideal). So my question is can the camera and AP be right next to each other? Ideally, both are centered on the back of the house to maximize coverage of the yard.
