What's in the Pipeline for Dahua's 2026 Lineup? Can we finally see new sensors moving away from the well-established 4mp sensors?

They have already hinted moving away from the well established 4MP sensors to new ones with AI.....
What's the point of the AI when many users are using Blue Iris (with its own built-in AI capabilities)? Are there any advantages with Dahua's AI? Some companies are packing in half-baked AI features that seem to be hit-or-miss whereas others are really proving that certain aspects work even with little or no configuration out of the box.

Well, I really like AI in S3 cameras, especially in the "long distance" mode, it's picking up deers and other wildlife from far away.
I'm testing right now 54PRO and Ubiquiti G6 Pro, but so far S3 looks like the best one.
And G6 Pro with its 1/1.2 sensor looks really pathetic at night.
Here is a detection video from T54IR-AS-S3 2.8mm, the distance to the deer is ~130ft, no IR from camera, just minimal light from the side.
And no, you cannot configure BI to detect this kind of movement without triggering tons of false positives.

The 54IR - S3 series is considered the "old sensors"

The AI Processing of the new Pro series is considered the "new sensors".

To be clear (in case it wasn't by my insider joke in post 2 for those that have been following these cameras), we are not talking about the AI as it relates to object detection.

We are talking about the AI processing that is occurring in the new sensors that create nice bright static images, but produce poor motion as being discussed in the PRO threads such as this one and this one.

I was responding to Arjun, who mentioned Blue Iris AI. But yeah, now I'm getting your joke, not sure if Arjun got it though :)

I've read elsewhere how the G6 Pro is a "good" camera in low-light ... but based on your experience, the current crop of Dahua's cams (S3) are much better in low light?

It has been mentioned by several members that have both that the G6 is still not as good as the S3.

But these same folks feel they are 2 years away from having a better sensor in use than Dahua does.

They do have this new model,

They do have this new model,

Even that one is worse than the 54PRO, according to my tests.

Daytime image/videos are awesome, but daytime movement detection is slightly worse than the 54PRO and S3.

And nighttime image/video quality and movement detection are really bad compared to the 54PRO and S3.

Even with a large 1/1.2" sensor the 54PRO still outperforms the G6 Pro Turret? Would definitely likely to see your tests. Cheers
