What the Flock is going on here!

On one hand I'm not surprised. On the other hand I wonder how the camera can do all of this powered by a solar panel that isn't all that big.

It's not powered by a solar panel. It is battery powered. The panel just charges the battery during the day.

Let me rephrase. I don't see how the size of the solar panel(s) I see in the flock camera pictures can provide enough energy to keep a camera with all of the claimed capabilities running 24 hours a day. Solar production on winter days is pretty low, plus in some locations full overcast can last for a month or more.

Hard for me to listen to this guy's voice but sharing, don't cover cameras in autonomous taxis

I would bet this "feature" will find its way into personal vehicles as well - for safety of course. If you take your eyes off the road or yawn or any behavior it does not like, it will find a place to pull over until your behavior improves. No thanks!

It is and when you sign the paperwork for buying the car you give them the authority to do what ever they want with the data the car is collecting on you and if you don't sign the papers they won't sell you the car. You have no choice, buy a car and they watch you and collect data or you don't get a car, they don't care. Read about this a while back and soon every car will have it.

I would think some creative folks will figure out how to rip it our or disable it?

Personally I'll never buy a new car again. I should get another $200K miles out of my 2014 Toyota FJ
