question with respect to all who have contributed. When running BI for license plate id, don't you need a form factor that can accommodate a fancier graphics card. Does anyone know what the minimum fancy card that you need?

NO - I do not have a graphics card and run CodeProject and the ALPR on a 4th gen just fine.
Hi. I wonder if this mini pc fanless can be used with BI and 2 dahua cameras: Mini Pc MiniX Z350, Procesor Intel Core N350 3.6GHz Twin Lake, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Intel Graphics... not for record because cameras have sd cards. Only for monitoring...

If you just are going to monitor two cameras , why not just use a web browser to view the cameras directly, unless you have already purchased the BI software!
I have already BI...don't like in web browser. I just need an answer for what i asked not other options.

Is this the computer you are looking at? , hopefully you will be connecting via ethernet and not using all wireless connections!

Did you read the reviews on Amazon, one of them is not particularly good, referring to very slow performance other reviews indicate the performance is good, but they do not mention what they are running for applications most of them agree that it gets very hot which could cause heat throttling ( my personal summary). I tried to find this processor in the cpu benchmarks on Processor Benchmarks - Geekbench and it was not listed, perhaps an indication of it's lackluster performance and that people are submitting results from mostly higher performance builds. I personally would not use this device, if you do get it, please post back and let us know how it is performing!Yes, is that mini pc.
Keep in mind these mini's and any reviews are not designed or reviewed with the intention to be running 24/7.

Just an fyi I am using an ASROCK DeskMeet X600 Series to run BI for over a year now, I have a 10TB surveillance rated drive in it with an AMD Ryzen 7 8700G cpu, works great with 7 cameras CPU usage idles at 3% and GPU at 4%.
Is cool .. unfortunately i don't have space for DeskMeet X600. It's not that big, but it's not small either.

I have one GMKtec and two Bosgame mini pcs. Very fun. I am using one Bosgame for my Unraid server with nginx webserver in a container. Unraid is supporting 4 x 8tb drives in a USB enclosure. For many reasons this is a frowned upon system. It has happily been running 24/7. How long can it keep it up? Dunno, it's a homelab experiment not a critical application.
One of them would happily run Blue Iris (I only have 3 cameras on my BI) - but I run Blue Iris on older tower PCs. Why? Cooling, power supply and ability to add more sata hard drives.
