Version 6 Beta

This is about as close as you're going to get to what you are asking for.
Thanks for the image. That’s the way I have mine, although I also turn off camera names and borders.

I've added images of my setup and a mock-up of a simplified layout that would be ideal for me. I realise extra work to the UI might not be an option so that's why I suggested a setting to remove the UI and borders while keeping same window size. The same display option you have when selecting "Full screen video" but without actually using the full screen.

What you are trying to do is currently not possible in BI.

Is anyone else having issue with the latest beta version not shutting down. This is NOT running as a service mode. The last 2 releases when I close BI I see all the cams go to snow and then it just hangs. I have to use task manager to manually kill it. Other than that, it now does stream to my android and looks good.

I was having the same issue on two different systems. Updating the program would not properly kill blueiris so I had to use task manager every time.
For now I have rolled back as it seems far too buggy. Its fine and then out of nowhere a sudden cpu surge to 100% and system hangs.

Ken updated the V6beta file (detected by a change in the file size).

You can direct download it here:

I've also posted it to the forum's Downloads folder as 5.9.9.99-v6betaR6
The naming mirrors Ken's version nomenclature in the changelog.pdf.

Ken did freshen the changelog PDF in this iteration (see below).

[5.9.9.99 r6] – 2025-11-20

Fixed
• Several aspects of hardware encoding configuration
• Intel hardware decoding initialization; Intel hardware encoding tested
• Fixed web server HTTPS detection in some cases
• Fixed remote access wizard HTTPS check UI

I have updated to the latest beta and tried all the suggestions in earlier posts (eg changing profile/encoding) and still I cannot get the Web/Mobile app to show any streams.

I have also found that after I make any changes to the camera settings, and it restarts the camera, they will not restart and continue to show snow.

On my android phone, I had to switch the lan encoder profile to vbr...then it worked. Then I switched the BI web server to "bitrate" and then my phone went back to CBR? But it does work now. It was like I had to cycle the options.

The highlighting is mine. Note Added bullet #2

[5.9.9.99 r6] – 2025-11-21 ... I'm assuming the r6 is a typo

Added
• An additional per-camera setting for direct-to-wire streaming added to the Webcast tab in camera settings.

Changed
The default recording paths now include the letter Z at the end. This indicates to the software that it should format the time using Zulu (UTC) instead of local time. This solves issues regarding daylight savings time change filename conflicts, and provides a more portable format between time zones. Opting out of this change requires that you use custom filenames on the Record tab in camera settings.

I'm having the same problem. I don't see VBR as a LAN encoder profile option in my Android app, so I'm missing a key point.

Are you having to do this every time you install a new beta version.

No, I just updated to V7 and it maintained my settings. If you select Quality instead of Bitrate you will see the VBR option in the android app 3.0.46

I felt brave yesterday an

d threw on 5.9.9.99v7 beta on my main BI Machine and so far, all is looking good and working fine. So, we are getting closer! Also tested it with wife's iPhone and my android app, that works fine now too :)

[5.9.9.99 r7] – 2025-11-23 ... NOTE: Ken has not fixed the duplicate r6 'typo' in the changelog, so I'm retaining his nomenclature

Fixed
• Several issues with remote management, including timeline display

Changed
• UI3 update that reflects new encoding profile configuration changes

Today's .99 re-release includes H.265 software encoding and direct-to-wire support in UI3-306.
Is there any indicator or javascript variable to indicate if direct-to-wire is working? I have H.265 direct to disk and tried enabling direct-to-wire both in UI3 and in encoding options, but stats for nerds show much higher bitrate compared to what it should be

Edit:
My bad UI is in bits while BI is in bytes. Looks like direct-to-wire only works for the LIVE view. Interestingly the plyer delay is much higher for direct-to-wire about 11 frames vs 2-3 frames for re-encoded stream from timeline.

Further testing shows that direct-to-wire delay is variable between 2 and 16 frames, maybe it is related to iframe ? It would be nice to have option for player to wait for iframe to always stream with minimal delay.

Latest note in BI "news and updates" says " End of the line for version5, do a new full install for version 6" does that require an uninstall of v5 and having to re enter all settings manually now? (the version on BI.com shows as 5.9..9.99)
