US Elections (& Politics) :)

A review by WAPO found that Allen did not fire his gun, despite the DOJ charging him with doing so. That would also mean that the secret service agent who was struck, and is fortunately okay, was hit by friendly fire.

I gifted this so you can read it.

Trump's numbers on inflation aren't just the worst for him ever. They're the worst I've seen for any president. They're worse than Biden's worst & worse than Carter's pre-1980 election.

On the cost of living, just 9% of indies & 39% (!) of the GOP say we're on the right track.

Re the Comey indictment:

I remain skeptical of the accounts of the two criminal charges. This has to overcome towering free speech protections. We will have to wait to see if the Administration has a "smoking shell" allegation that makes Comey's shell speech more menacing as a willful and knowing threat. ...It was reckless and unprofessional, but the standard is a true threat.
Without such new evidence, this is unlikely to succeed. I cannot imagine what that new evidence would be beyond a sleeper surfer hit squad waiting for a shell signal.

First Jonathan Turley is skeptical of the Comey indictment, and now Andy McCarthy calls it bogus... scathing column... wow, defenders are peeling off....

Todd Blanche is off to a bad start... LOL... :p :lmao: :winktongue:   :p

Fox News contributor sounds off on ‘bogus’ James Comey indictment

Andy McCarthy, a former assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, published a column in the National Review on Tuesday criticizing the “bogus” indictment.

In his latest op-ed, he argued that the second indictment “is even more absurd than the previous indictment.

That one failed to state a crime. This one fabricates a crime,” McCarthy wrote.

McCarthy said the claim that the post was calling for Trump’s assassination was “ridiculous.”

McCarthy also accused the Justice Department of abusing its power by targeting Trump’s perceived political enemies.

“Of course, when the Justice Department abuses power this way, as it has repeatedly, it shreds its credibility with the courts and undermines the integrity of all its work,” McCarthy wrote.

He suggested that the next Democratic president could bring charges against Trump in retaliation for these prosecutions.

While the above ignores the 4th Amendment, this helps kill the 1st

Apparently under Trump well just be burying that pesky Constitution

Hope nobody has a problem with that. I mean ‘Murica!
