US Elections (& Politics) :)

Nutlick is a disgusting lying piece of shit. No wonder the Israelis assigned him to watch over Trump

This story is actually a few years old.
But it does help one understand how corrupt John Roberts is…

It DOES say to fact check it. Looks like it's all baloney, not even close. Here's a source that says US is #20:

Out of several sources I didn't find one that put the US even in the top 10. There does seems to me a widespread munging of the terms "murder" and "homicide" to muddy the waters some.

Here's one that breaks it out by ethnicity. It says that US blacks-only would be #4 of a selected subset of the world's countries, and the US wouldn't be even close to the bottom of list of countries with blacks taken out:

Homicide Rates by Country

Is the original claim simply stupidity, or intent to deceive? I can't tell. Why even bother taking a social media post like that seriously without any sources being cited? The social media BSers have the advantage. It takes a lot less time to throw out a pile of $hit than for somebody to fact check it.

Social media BSers like?
Trump
DHS, CDC, DOJ, DOD

Or you mean like FOX, CBS, NBC, etc?

Or most every company in the world?

Or do you mean just about every government official on the planet?

Or just the ones you disagree with?

President Trump calls CNN Fake News after relying on CNN polls to support his popularity claims.

PRESIDENT TRUMP JUST SAID LIVE:"I WILL IMPOSE A NEW 15% UNIVERSAL TARIFF VERY SOON."

The White House Intervened on Behalf of Accused Sex Trafficker Andrew Tate During a Federal Investigation

Federal authorities were chided for seizing electronic devices from Tate and his brother, and told to return them, records and interviews show. Experts said the intervention was highly inappropriate.

Experts say it’s highly unusual for the White House to tell agents to give up custody of potential evidence in an investigation, as it did with the Tates.
“I’ve never heard of anything like that in my 30 years working,” an ex-DHS official said.

But Trump's new budget cuts out much more in funding for Americans in Healthcare, Medicaid, and other programs

Spirit Airlines nears deal with Trump administration for $500 million rescue package
Spirit Airlines, a discount carrier, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy twice in under a year. It's in talks with the Trump administration for a bailout.

What's worse is that Spirit has $450M of DIP financing to be repaid by July 14th 2026.
So this money will just go to the hedge fund creditors and then Spirit will be out of cash again.

Spirit is just a pass-through between the Government and a couple Wall St hedge funds.

The sheer fact that Trump hasn't responded to claims of a sexual relationship with Laura Loomer is quite telling.

You’re right. The meme is factually incorrect. My apologies
I was focused on the constant declaration that social media is all bad. My bias, again apologies.

But you did miss the point of the post you were attacking:
It says "IF you remove the 5 cities listed" - which account for a large percentage of homicides. Though I think those are using older data, the year makes a huge difference.

But the concept is correct, when you take out the top US cities with high rates that also have large populations, it drops the overall US rate.

This is a better explanation, by county or Metro area

“Every year we see that homicides are geographically concentrated. In the year of this study, 2018 1, a mere 15 counties out of 3,124 accounted for just under 25% of all murders.”
Just 10 cities account for more than one-fifth of all murders in the United States.

There's a difference between Rate/per and actual number of homicides... it actually gets to be a complicated analysis

Cities with the Highest Homicide Rates (2024)

When measured per 100,000 residents, the most violent metro areas include Visual Capitalist+1:
  1. New Orleans, LA – 46 homicides per 100K (166 total homicides)
  2. Memphis, TN – 41 per 100K (372 total homicides)
  3. St. Louis, MO – 54.1 per 100K (highest among large metro counties)
  4. Baltimore, MD – 34.8 per 100K
  5. Oakland, CA – 18.6 per 100K
  6. Detroit, MI – 31.2 per 100K
  7. Little Rock, AR – 17.6 per 100K
  8. Cleveland, OH – 30.1 per 100K
  9. Kansas City, MO – 27.6 per 100K
  10. Milwaukee, WI – 23.9 per 100K

We all have our different biases. One of mine is that as when some post or analysis presents incorrect data or conclusions, either out of sloppiness or some hidden agenda, I don't trust anything about it. That's not saying everything about it is wrong, but to me it all becomes guilty until proven innocent. For myself I almost never post anything without first vetting it, because once I post it, I'm by default endorsing it. I think a few times I've repeated something unvetted and clearly stated so.

I don't think it takes a study to convince reasonable people that the big blue cities are crime cesspools and that there's unfortunately a race component to it. After learning about individual events over years, connecting the dots is pretty easy. I'll go further and say IMO the democrats create an environment that leads to and/or encourages and/or enables the crime and race issues. Their culture is to promote anger and blame others for everything. And they're somehow smart enough the convince the people they're using and oppressing that somebody else is the bad guy. No intent here to say republican politicians and leaders are good. A high percentage of slimeballs there, too.

Notice he avoids the question of insider trading.
Thats because him and either close family or friends are participating in it.
Laws aren't for him.

He's scum

Reporter: There are also bets being placed on the Iran conflict. People suspect there is insider trading happening. Are you concerned?

Trump: Unfortunately, the whole world has become somewhat of a casino. I don't like it conceptually. It is what it is.
