JOHN BRENNAN'S LEGAL JEOPARDY

Justice Dept. request for classified records related to former CIA Director John Brennan is a very serious escalation, especially if the records show Brennan doubled down on his Steele Dossier claims. Under oath, Brennan told Congress in 2017 the Democrat funded opposition research was NOT "in any way used as a basis" for the US Intelligence Assessment about Russia's activities during the 2016 presidential election. But records released @DNIGabbard@CIADirector SHOW Brennan was WARNED NOT to include the Steele Dossier by intelligence professionals, but Brennan insisted on including the Dossier because he liked the narrative. Through his lawyer, Brennan has denied wrongdoing.

Chevron threatening to leave California

Chevron said it is threatening to close its oil refineries in California due to overregulation, which the oil company said is contributing to price spikes amid the war in Iran.

Due to California’s taxes, emissions rules and other regulations, which hit gas costs harder than in many other states, the price per gallon is well over the national average.

Tehran’s decision to effectively shut off the Strait of Hormuz has left millions of barrels of crude oil stationary, hurting economies in Asian countries, which heavily rely on oil from the Middle East.

In turn, Chevron, which imports fuel from China, South Korea and Singapore, is facing the brunt of the blockade. Amid the energy crisis, Beijing has banned fuel exports.

Andy Walz, who heads Chevron’s oil refining efforts, said leaders in California should be worried about the possibility of a fuel deficit in the Golden State.

“We have refineries in Asia that are having to cut crude, and so they’re going to make less products,” Walz said in an interview with Bloomberg on Tuesday. “What if San Francisco doesn’t have the jet fuel it needs? Or Los Angeles? Or maybe gasoline?”

The Chevron executive said California has decided to “rely on imports,” which is playing a “dangerous game” when it comes to the fuel market.

My comment: Two other refineries are already leaving California. This what happens when Democrats have total control in a state.

Fox News Tops All Broadcast Networks in Summer Primetime Ratings for Second Time In Its History

Fox News rode a massive summer ratings wave all the way to yet another major milestone — with the perennial ratings titan besting not only its cable news peers, but all the major broadcast networks as well in an all-important time slot.

According to data from Nielsen, Fox News — from the period spanning June 20 through Sept. 1 — finished as the no. 1 network in all of broadcast television during the primetime hours of 8-11 PM. During those hours, Fox News averaged 2.43 million total nightly viewers in primetime — topping ABC at 2.38 million, NBC at 2.21 million, and CBS at 2.03 million. It is the second time in the network’s history they accomplished that feat — with the other coming in the summer of 2020.

Among their cable news rivals, it wasn’t even a horse race — with Fox News nearly doubling CNN and MSNBC combined. MSNBC drew 783,000 average nightly total viewers during the primetime hours, while CNN posted an average of 444,000 viewers. CNN did fare better than MSNBC in the advertiser-coverted 25-54 age demographic — edging out MSNBC 78,000 to 72,000 in nightly viewers among that category. But Fox dramatically outpaced the competition in that metric as well — pulling in 237,000 nightly primetime viewers in the 25-54 age range.

CBS's revamped Evening News suffers lowest ratings of the century as viewers flee in droves

CBS Evening News is on track for its lowest-rated first quarter of the 21st century, according to early Nielsen data obtained by the Daily Mail.

The once-esteemed broadcast is reeling in just 4.3million viewers a night, down 7 percent from last year.

At the time, the show was already struggling due to a dual-anchor experiment that sent more than 1.2million viewers astray.

New Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss has since elevated former CBS Mornings host Tony Dokoupil to the Evening News anchor chair. Dokoupil, 54, assumed the position in early January, right around where the ratings start.

Two seasoned television news executives who spoke with the Mail Wednesday called the statistics startling, given the network's already present decline.

The show is also down 18 percent in the important 25-54 audience demographic, which is highly coveted by advertisers.

'It is so sad to see CBS become the laughingstock of the industry,' one of the executives said when asked about the preliminary ratings, which pertain to January, February, and most of March.

'Obviously, it's a disaster,' the other said. 'The audience is responding to the bad decisions that have been made. And that's why they're tuning out.'

Hungary's opposition Tisza party widens lead over Orban's Fidesz, poll says
Reuters ^ | March 25, 2026

Hungary's centre-right opposition Tisza party has widened its lead over Prime Minister Viktor Orban's Fidesz in March, a poll showed on ‌Wednesday, ahead of an April 12 election where the veteran nationalist is ‌seeking re-election.

Orban, seeking to retain his 16-year grip on power, is facing a strong challenger for the first time in a parliamentary vote, with the outcome having major implications not only for Hungary but for Europe and its far-right political forces.

The poll, published by new site hvg.hu, showed Tisza gaining ground while Fidesz's support was stagnating despite numerous voter-pleasing measures announced by the government ‌after three years of economic stagnation.

Tisza, which was only launched in 2024, has widened its lead over Fidesz to 23 percentage points among decided voters, up from a 20-point lead in a February survey, pollster Median said.

Led by former government insider Peter Magyar, Tisza had the support of 58% of decided voters, up from 55% a month ago. Fidesz was supported by 35%, unchanged from February.

When looking at the entire population, Tisza was supported by ‌46%, while Fidesz was backed by 30%, according to the survey conducted between March 17 and 20.
