US Elections (& Politics) :)

Without getting into the debate of whether or not the planes caused the twin towers to come down,
this is such a brainless comparison.

  • The impact speed was at least 3x greater in the twin towers case.
  • The twin towers aircraft had at least 5x more mass.
  • The combination of mass and velocity makes for a HUGE kinetic energy difference which I am not calculating.
  • Some of the kinetic energy was dissipated moving the fire truck, not so with the twin towers.
  • The twin towers planes were larger aircraft almost fully fueled.
  • The firetruck plane was a regional jet with destination-level fuel.
  • The twin towers did not get "knocked down". The structures failed because of a fire and or detonation depending on which theory you subscribe to.

And don't think of this as a regular fire engine-- it was an ARFF truck, which is much heavier and carries a lot more water. A lot more mass there as well.
