Israel, Greece, Cyprus see Turkey as a immediate threat. Nothing stopping Turkey from steam rolling Greece and Israel except for Israeli nukes or US intervention.

Turkey has the most powerfull military in the middle east region with serious capability in drones and is only the 4th country in the world to make it's own stealth jets and drones. With vastly superior ground and naval forces. Israel, Greece and Cyprus combined could hold off Turkey.

So Israel needs a regional counter weight against Saudi- Pakistan- Qatar. So they are looking at India, which conveniently has a hostile relationship with Pakistan and sees Turkey, Saudi, Qatar as a threat for either financially helping Pakistan or funding terrorists.

Israel also need a industrial counter weight against Turkey. With many of Israel drones being manufactured in India along with right sized artillery shells, safely away from Iran or Turkey missile strikes.

All of Indian warships uses the same Israel air defense systems as used by Israel Navy. Many of their jets use the same Israel air to air and air to ground missiles which are on par with US Aim 9/120 variants.

US support for Israel won't last for ever, it may change as soon as 2029.

Britain, France which are making two distinct 6th generation stealth jets slated to enter service sometime in 2030 to 2040 time frame, along with many other European countries, will themselves become Islamic nations in 30 years.

Middle east is going to get a Islamic Nato with Chinese and Turkey 5th gen stealth jets.

So Israel is looking at options. India seems to be their bet, which will surpass the US economically like China did in the next few decades.

Yep, thats what Erdogan wants. He also wants Turkey to be leader of the Islamic world. So he plays both sides Sunni and Shia.

Once the US leaves middle east. Syria and Iraq will be free for all to take, with Turkey and Israel heading for a direct confrontation. One wants to make Ottoman Empire while the other wants a Greater Israel.
