Yup, a nothing burger unless you're a 6 year old with no concept of how things happen. Shame on those who tried to promote a falsehood that was quickly debunked and shame on the "Republicans" who went into defensive mode without understanding what happened and how it was falsely promoted. I'll title this post "Oregon follies". They're coming so fast that maybe the state should have its own thread.

The Portland area has about a half dozen special taxes, like to subsidize the arts and preschool for all. This headline is about the tax for cleaning up the climate, which is a local sales tax, even though the Oregon constitution prohibits sales taxes. Looks like cleaning up the climate isn't as important as propping up a privately owned professional sports team, or using the money for what the citizens were told it was for. But it was important enough to add another tax a few years ago.

What's next? Burglars and rapists are scared so we need to stop arresting them? Too bad the politicians aren't scared of getting kicked out, but the unions. special interests, and idiot voters keep them in power.
