Why not post a link to the article? Sometimes, I (and probably others) would like to dig deeper... cute stethoscope in the picture?
I'd like it to be seen as a requirement to post a link to any article or social media post that's repeated in IPCT.

I think this speaks to the “fine line” I have and that Ronald Reagan, who passed the law allowing for emergency care regardless of status or ability to pay, intended.

Is there healthcare fraud amongst illegals? Sure. Same with many natural born Americans. Visit a hospital ER lately? And yes it can be location specific.

But I recognize a difference between those who abuse it vs those who genuinely need urgent care, as did the 1986 bipartisan law that allows it. And because no matter what you do or how you structure it, a certain amount of abuse is going to happen in a population of 350 million, I’m ok with that if it means the truly needy are provided basic essential healthcare. You try and minimize it

$1B is literally couch cushion money in the bigger scheme of healthcare cost waste, fraud and abuse. I got a bill for $18,000 for 3 hours mostly waiting, from a local hospital 2 years ago when I had to go to ER due to pain that became unbearable. (Turned out to be shingles but at the time with no outward evidence I thought it could be a kidney issue or worse). The CT scan alone was $11,000 of that and my portion due to high deductible employer plans, was over $5000.

THIS is where the true healthcare cost abuse is, not sewing up a gash in some illegals leg. Blaming this on Dems is pure political theater

Yeah, let's not do anything about $1B....good plan. LOL. Some people bitch about the price of eggs yet it's like couch cushion money in the entire scheme of one's spending annually but yet they do it.

ALL WASTE AND FRAUD should be eliminated when identified. ESPECIALLY, when it's a violation of law. This includes going after health care providers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, unnecessary middle men and frills spent on glamorizing anything in this industry.
